The character of John Kerry gets more and more and more curious with each passing day. Defined as an indecisive Northeastern liberal by many, Kerry continually tries to shake the image of a left-wing flip-flopper by touting his Viet Nam service. At the Democratic National Convention he strolled to the podium gave a salute and proudly declared Im John Kerry and Im reporting for duty. He also had his band of brothers from Viet Nam trot out to stand on stage on that same evening.

I think if Rassman ever fesses up about the issue of them receiving fire when Kerry pulled him out of the water - Kerry is toast on his Vietnam service.
Kerry's critics are falling into the trap of debating whether he is really a hero or a liar. The real issue is that he is an unreformed leftist. If you listen to his supporters, they all believe that based on his Vietnam experience, Kerry will be reluctant to fight. The exact opposite of the "war hero" bravado he is using to fool moderate Americans.
Don't hold your breath. The Christmas in Cambodia is probably all we are going to see traction on. The spin just is not working on it. The media has their marching orders and will protect him to the hilt. Hate to say it but the only way I see this guy getting hammered is his liberal voting record in the Senate.
Take heart regandemo, the Mainstream Media no longer rules the waves uncontested. Between the book itself, talk radio, the blog-o-verse, FNC, etc. this story will only smolder and fester the more the usual suspects try to smother it. This story is NOT going away.
and don't forget..Nixon personally picked Kerry to command this secret mission..
Hammering Kerry's voting record is the RNC's job and believe me, they will go negative at the convention. Pushing Kerry's Vietnam exaggerations/lies is up to the rest of us.
I think the critics are falling into the trap of straying from his senate record...If there was no Veit Nam what would Kerry run on?
Thank goodness the Bush adm. isn't falling into this crappola. If they stick to what he did after VN then Bush racks up fence sitters, but if the focus is on VN the FS will at least look at Kerry.
Come on johnny7; speak your mind man don't hold back. LOL!!
My question is: How influential is "The Washington Dispatch"? Is it a recognized voice in Washington and around the country? Does it have a sizeable number of subscribers? I HOPE THE ANSWER TO ALL OF THE ABOVE IS "YES". I'm just not familiar with this newspaper.
Excellent editorial. Should be a MUST READ for everyone.
The 'Christmas in Cambodia' story is getting more versions from Kerry than his 'tossing the medals' story had.
"It is just possible that Kerry gave a CIA operative a ride into Cambodia."
BS, his CO at the time says no way. Are we so simple to believe that a fifty foot boat and a six man crew goes MIA from a command for 5 or 6 days & the CO is not going to miss this little fact?
Where to? The Washington Dispatch is not The Washington Post but is has a shitload of lib/socialists who read it and post comments on selected columns.
It's more evidence that somebody is picking up on the story other than Drudge or Hannity.
Read it or don't.
"Hate to say it but the only way I see this guy getting hammered is his liberal voting record in the Senate.
Really, what liberal voting record? He is a conservative, anti-abortion, pro-gun, anti-gay marriage, pro-christian, pro-business, pro-military.
Hell, the main-slime median has done a complete cosmetic surgery on the boy's record, he skates free on his record.
Bump for donate to the Swift Boat Vets, keep the story alive.

Oh its Christmas in Cambodia and the folks are far away
My voice would cloud with sad carols in memory of Baby Jesus, born to take away sin
It would have been a misery, or at least it mighthave been
For I have always loved Christmas, despite what the Republicans say,
And the old songs always bring a tear to my eye,
Fortunately Mummy and Pater were not in Cambodia,
and neither was I
Sean Hannity had author Jerry Corsi and John O'Neil on his radio show yesterday and he was warning them as to the slime-fest they could expect (see: 1998, the year of Monica).
Be that as it may, so far the worst personal garbage the Kerry camp has come up with are a few bad jokes that author Corsi posted here on FreeRepublic (To Arms! We are under Attack!). Of course, even as we speak, private investigators are being hired. Reporters are being given their marching orders. Service records, medical records, scholastic records, financial records, tax records, divorce records, juvenile records, high school classmates, old girlfriends, "youthful indiscretions", will soon be dredged in detail (confidential? Yeah, right!). Probably within the next few weeks, eminent journalist and Second Amendment hero Larry Flynt will be making a public offer... And then, if, after all that comes up empty, and our heroes are blameless as Caesar's wife, that will obviously mean they are evil, repressed, witch-burning puritans.
However, I think that unlike '98 such ham-handedness will ultimately backfire. The legal threats to the TV stations against running the ad already appear to have done so.
"I think if Rassman ever fesses up about the issue of them receiving fire when Kerry pulled him out of the water - Kerry is toast on his Vietnam service."
Hey, how come the dems are relying upon Rassman's account of this incident so much? When Rassman was in the water he wasn't even ON KERRY'S BOAT! (hee-hee)
Perceptive. The Kerry campaign is a paradox, i.e.:
"Vote for a War Hero who won't go to war, even if necessary".
