I love that.
Kerry is such a liar. I resent to no end the Left's attempt to muzzle the brave Swifties. Kerry is getting what he derserves. Kerry is a hollow, hollow, hollow sack of crap-- he ain't no hero if the word hero means anything.
Screw Kerry!!

Here's Rassman in the Boston Globe the other day...this is the story about Elliot's "retraction". Rassman sounds confused about whether the rice injury (buttock one) was a part of the purple heart:
Rassmann, reached by telephone yesterday, said he has never had any question that Kerry deserved the Purple Heart. He said there were two separate events: One was earlier in the day, when he and Kerry blew up a rice cache, and the explosion caused some of the rice to hit Kerry, and perhaps some weapon fragments as well. The second involved a mine explosion as Kerry and Rassmann were on patrol. The explosion, Rassmann said, knocked him overboard and threw Kerry against the pilot house, injuring his arm.
Rassmann said that he has always believed that Kerry got the third Purple Heart solely for the injury to his arm as a result of the explosion in the water.
''If he got fragments in the buttocks due to the mine, that is new information to me," Rassmann said.
''I would say there is confusion. Maybe they did lump it together. It was my understanding he got it for the wound being thrown across the pilot house."

Yes, Rassman sounds confused. I think Rassman believes the arm injury alone entitled Kerry to the Purple Heart. It didn't. That was a 'contusion,' or bruising -- no bleeding, nothing broken.
The wound that qualified for a Purple Heart was the shrapnel in the butt -- which Kerry lied about the real cause thereof in his Navy injury report. The underwater mine explosion did not cause it. It was self-inflicted earlier that day, on land, as Kerry tossed a grenade into a rice bin and stayed too close.
Self-inflicted wounds do not qualify for Purple Hearts.
As it has been pointed out... if the shrapnel in Kerry's butt happened due to an underwater mine exploding, how did the RICE end up in his ASS, too???

Prints quite nicely. It will be on display at Cochise County Republican Headquarters later this afternoon. We're holding a meet&greet for some of the local candidates.
Think I might tape a couple to the front windows of the Dem HQ right down the block.

The Dems planning an full assault on the Vets - beginning 15 Aug, with the intention to once destroy them again. This time - kerry's lawyers are willingly lie about them, destroying the credibility, as one of the insiders at the DNC told www.crushkerry.com, saying 'it is war against the Vets'. Once again, will Kerry accuse them of crimes committed, but worse then what he did. Go - and read up the story. We need to alert the Vets, and assist them as much as possible. We can't let them down again!

Anyone who saw John (throwslikeagirl) Kerry at Fenway last week can understand why he can't toss a grenade far enough to clear the blast radius.

As a VietNam vet, I don't have any problems with Kerrys VietNam service ( although I question the length of his tour), but I have real problems with the purple hearts.
Max Cleland, a true decorated VietNam hero, who left 2 legs and an arm in VietNam, does NOT have a purple heart, because the accident that caused the disability was not associated with combat. For Sen. Kerry to claim 3 purple hearts for minor injuries, only cheapens Max Cleland's service.
Max Clelands Military Service
Army ROTC; Stetson University
U.S. Army 1965-1968; Commisioned Second Lieutenant and promoted to Captain 1968
Airborne, Ft. Benning, Georgia
Aide de Camp, Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey
Volunteered for duty in Vietnam in 1967
Wounded in grenade explosion April 8, 1968 (lost both legs and right arm)
Recovered from injuries "in various Army and Veterans Administration hospitals"
Awarded Bronze Star and Silver Star
Silver Star Medal Citation
Captain Cleland distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous action on 4 April 1968
during an enemy attack near Khe Sanh.
When the battalion command post came under a heavy enemy rocket and mortar attack, Captain Cleland, disregarding his own safety, exposed himself to the rocket barrage as he left his covered position to administer first aid to his wounded comrades. He then assisted in moving the injured personnel to covered positions.
Continuing to expose himself, Captain Cleland organized his men into a work party to repair the battalion communications equipment, which had been damaged by enemy fire.
His gallant action is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service, and reflects great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
Grenade Explosion Accident. In his own words,
On April 8, 1968, I volunteered for one last mission. The helicopter moved in low. The troops jumped out with M16 rifles in hand as we crouched low to the ground to avoid the helicopter blades. Then I saw the grenade. It was where the chopper had lifted off. It must be mine, I thought. Grenades had fallen off my web gear before. Shifting the M16 to my left hand and holding it behind me, I bent down to pick up the grenade. A blinding explosion threw me backwards.
