I'm here in Ohio, about ten miles east of Sgt Maupin's hometown. Its on the news here almost every night, and they just quoted the family rep on CBS hourly news update five minutes ago in relation to the news about Mr Johnson's fate. I suspect today you will here updates about Maupin, due to the Johnson story.

I'll also point out that not every set of "kidnappers" in Iraq are directly linked to the terrorists as we know them. Its very possible Maupin was grabbed by a small group of "wannabe's". If thats the case, panic could have set in causing them to kill him and dump the body outside of any town in Iraq with a low probability of being found yet.

I don't have much hope he's alive at this point.

I probably saw that same video (russian). The Jacob video is from the other side of the garage... you just see the start of the movement of the beheading. No blood at all. But you do see him chased, shot, killed, and shot some more. It's hideous.
