I'm ready to go, too, even though I'm a few years too experienced. Train me, arm me, and let me loose over there.

I just think it's fun throwing ideas into the mix. Well, we never know just how much one group can take. Sometimes, it doesn't take much to 'set them off.'

Yes, it is a tradition in Islam. Russians in Chechnya have been beheaded, as have hostages in the Philippines. There's some religious reason for doing it, but I can't recall the specificsThe reason is simple, it makes allah/satan laugh with delight.

"No comment" from the White House is hardly convincing to me.

Wearing blinders doesn't wake us up. I'm pretty ticked off right now, so I will not watch any videos.
I'm glad I'm the US President; I feel like sending a MOAB to Mecca right now.
To: Osage Orange
I wonder if there's not an EMP or MOAB somewhere with 'no comment' painted on the side.

Al Qaeda Says It Beheads U.S. Hostage in Saudi
Fri Jun 18, 2004 01:45 PM ET
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda militants beheaded an American engineer they had held hostage since last week after the Saudi government failed to meet its demands to free jailed militants, an Islamist Web site said Friday.
"As we promised the mujahideen, we have beheaded the American hostage Paul Marshall after the deadline that the mujahideen gave to the tyrannical Saudi government passed," a statement signed by the Organization of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula said on al Islah Web site.
The Web site also showed pictures of what appeared to be his severed head. © Reuters 2004. All Rights Reserved.

I understand your anger and we should respond with great force but the reality is bush or kerry, and kerry is unfit in any circumstance.

My rifle barrel could use a good warming. Does anybody have experience with using hog fat as bullet lubricant?

Muslims terrorists carry out their threats. We westerners make a threat then sit around for months talking about carrying out our threats. So yes I agree a little Israeli justice is in order.

Money in the hands of muslims whether in SA or anywhere else means danger for the world.

...reap the whirlwind...My thoughts are the same as all of yours...I am heartsick at this, and furious as well...you cannot negotiate with terrorists...it's not about oil...
Mr. Johnson was taken because he was American, but this was a demand made on the Saudi's, it is they who will "reap the whirlwind" and it won't be from us, either, IMHO. Mr. Johnson apparently loved the Saudi "culture", and now he's a martyr himself...certainly he didn't intentionally lay down his life, but his murder will not go unavenged by the people he loved, and may just be their "salvation" if it gives them the courage to liberate themselves from these terrorist radical Islamists.
Prayers for him and his family...

It is so time to stop playing "nice nice" with these people. Pull all of our troops out, go in and blow the whole stinkin' country off the face of the earth. Then tell the others that they will meet the same fate if they don't straighten up IMMEDIATELY. Today Bush gave a speech, in which he reiterated his "if a country provides cover for the terrorists, it'll be treated like the terrorists" (paraphrase), and, reiterated that a president has to mean what he says.
Now he'll get to demonstrate that he means business.
I suspect a lot of votes will hang in the balance, pending what he does, or doesn't do about this travesty.
