In an effort to put in one place all the reasons why I/we think that Saddam Hussein worked actively with Osama Bin Laden, I am starting a thread which can be saved and added to over time.
We know Saddam worked with the PLO and other terrorists, he funded them. He at LEAST knew that 9/11 was coming.
less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.

The debate over whether or not Saddam had links to Al Queda may have some justification, but Americans should not be obsessed with it.I couldn't possibly agree more, it may even be harmful to our cause.
There is no need for there to be a pre-9-11 link between Saddam and al-Qaida in order to justify the Iraq war. If there is a lesson from 9-11, it is that neither WMD nor state sponsorship is required to wreak devastation upon Americans on American soil. The Left surely hasn't grasped this lesson, but could we take the chance that Saddam didn't either?
Saddam had motive. He was humiliated by us in '91, and had already demonstrated in the attempted assassination of a former president, his willingness to strike at us in a clandestine manner. What's more, he represented the symbol of Arab power, and no scenario whereby terror can be said to be dealt with properly could ensue which didn't include his removal from power.

Text from one of my previous posts (on a thread you initiated), link at the bottom contains original links to articles:
In in 1998, an Arab intelligence officer, who knows Saddam personally, predicted in Newsweek: "Very soon you will be witnessing large-scale terrorist activity run by the Iraqis." The Arab official said these terror operations would be run under "false flags" --spook-speak for front groups--including bin Laden's organization.
Then there were the predictions by an Iraqi with ties to Iraqi intelligence, Naeem Abd Mulhalhal, in Qusay's own newspaper several weeks before the attacks that stated bin Laden would demolish the Pentagon after he destroys the White House and bin Laden would strike America on the arm that is already hurting. (referencing a second IRAQI sponsored attack on the World Trade Center). Another reference to New York was [bin Laden] will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra everytime he hears his songs. (e.g., New York, New York) which identified New York, New York as a target. Mulhalhal also stated, The wings of a dove and the bullet are all but one and the same in the heart of a believer." which references an airplane attack.
The Arabic language daily newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabic also cited the cooperation between Iraq, bin Laden and Al December 1998 editorial, which predicted that President Saddam Hussein, whose country was subjected to a four day air strike, will look for support in taking revenge on the United States and Britain by cooperating with Saudi oppositionist Osama Bin-Laden, whom the United States considers to be the most wanted person in the world.
FR Post
Please note for the record that Qusay Hussein ran the state run newspaper, which guarantees that Saddam knew in advance.

Yossef Bodansky, Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America, 361:
The moment [Clinton's 1998] bombing campaign stopped, Saddam Hussein dispatched Faruq al-Hijazi to Qandahar. . .In Qandahar, Hijazi met with bin Laden to discuss future terrorist strikes against the United States. . .Bin Laden agreed in principle to spearhead the revenge campaign against the West in accordance with the recently agreed to operational plans but suggested further study and coordination of specific contingency plans and proposed operations. Both sides agreed on the urgent imperative to expedite the unleashing of the anti-American terrorist war.

I just finished reading Jayna Davis's book "The Third Terrorist". Borrowed it but am going to buy it.
Never really thought there was a lot behind John Doe #2. I was wrong.
There are 24 witnesses who put John Doe #2 (who is identified) with McVeigh and Nichols. Before the OKC blast and at the scene. Including one woman who survived the blast and told doctors as they were preparing to amputate her leg to remove her from the rubble. She described John Doe #2 and his truck and his tattoo.
John Doe #2 is an ex-Iraqi soldier who worked for a Middle Eastern guy who ran a business called Salman Management. (Sort of like Salman Pak).
John Doe #2 stayed at a hotel in OK - Cactus motel I think. Same motel 3 of the 9/11 terrorists stayed at.
John Doe #2 was working at Logan Airport on 9/11 as a food handler. He is still out of prison.
The list of CIA, FBI and counter-terrorism unit heads who believe John Doe #2 worked with McVeigh and Nichols is too long to list here.
It's a must read book for Freepers. Much better than I ever thought it would be.

Okay...then what about 1993 WTC and OKC bombing?I'm not saying that there is no link, nor am I saying these things you mention aren't true or shouldn't be pursued vigorously. What I am saying is that the need to whack Saddam was there even without WMD, even without a provable link to any terror act on our soil. We keep allowing the anti-warriors to raise the bar as to justifications for the war.

I have believed in Saddam's complicity with terror events in America from the beginning, let's face it, he would want to remain anonymous. I debate these things with my lib friends all the time, and I have fared better when I attempt to justify the war on humanitarian grounds, and on grounds that he posed a danger to us regardless, and on the pivotal psychological blow dealt to the region's penchant for terror by virtue of the humiliation factor of taking out Iraq, and the resultant restoration of respect, the lack of which caused the attack to begin with.
I'm convinced of a link, but the Left is still not buying it, and I'm not going to allow them to raise the bar to having to prove Saddam's complicity to justify the Iraq war. Let's face it, we allowed the presence of WMD to become a requirement, when it never really should have been a requirement to go to war with Iraq.
