Many Republicans have tried and failed to win the presidential nomination without support from the party establishment. Donald Trump argues he is different from those hopefuls because his wealth enables him to fund an insurgent campaign all by himself. But for all the talk about his money, so far, Trump isnt using it.
Trump campaign officials say he has only spent about $2 million far less than fellow GOP candidates Dr. Ben Carson and Sen. Ted Cruz, for instance. each spent $5.5 million just through July, according to the latest FEC reports. Hillary Clintons campaign, meanwhile, spent $18 million in the same period; thats nine times Trumps entire spending to date.
Politicos and reporters often cast Trump as a self-funded outsider candidate, assuming he will follow the pricey campaign model of businesspeople like Meg Whitman and Michael Bloomberg, each of whom spent $100 million of their own money on a single race. Three months into Trumps unusual campaign, however, the evidence suggests his candidacy remains largely buoyed by his celebrity status and free press, not his actual wealth.
Leading news organizations have covered Trumps brash campaign more than any other candidate. According to a September tally by the Tyndall Report, Trump drew 43% of all GOP coverage on network news this year, despite his late entry into the race. Experts say Trumps celebrity status yields coverage that money cant buy....

Imagine that! A successful businessman not spending money like it’s going out of style!
Almost makes you think he’s a successful businessman or something, and not a government spend-hog!
The right message helps as well. I think the people also think he is on their side. Who knows. He may get help from the unions.
Why would he waste his money at this point in time of the campaign?
Every move he makes, and every utterance from his lips are reported on by every news agency around the world.. He has name recognition, and he leads the polls.
When the time comes I'm sure he will spend that money, but right now it would be a waste of resources.
Concern trolls are very concerned.
Even more reason Trump should be President, IMO. He will stop the out of control spending in DC.
A man who obviously know the value of a buck and what it takes to earn one.
AND WE LOVERS OF TRUMP LOVE YOU FOR DOING IT
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Proof positive, IMO, that Trump is the next President .... every lefty, America hating organization can't stop providing him with free advertising and commercials
Then all Trump has to do is schedule a whistle stop somewhere .. have fun re-iterating what he has been saying for the previous two weeks .. make mention of the source (in this case PMSNBC), thank them ... and move closer to the White House

Ok, guess I’m really naive. So who’s footing the bill for the website, the plane trips, the accommodations, the “boots on the ground” people who I’m assuming have some sort of a “headquarters” at the locations. The assorted paraphernalia campaign trinkets being sold from his site. The fleet of vehicles, and all the people who accompany him. What is he NOT paying for that the others are?
There is a certain class of retard who think that the only purpose of money is to be spent, and anybody who doesn’t spend every cent they can get their hands on “has more than they need.”
Cause no government lackies are involved
It’s always easier to spend other people’s money.
Not spending money sounds fiscally conservative...
WE have a winner!
Imagine how ahead he would be if he actually spent some money!
Trump doesn’t need to spend million$ advertising and creating an image, because he’s not a bore. He just needs to stand up and talk at a rally. It goes out on YouTube, and people share it.
Mind your language, please; there are ladies present.
He’s made money by taking care of it.
He knows how to get free publicity.
