Beleagured cable news channel MSNBC has rebranded itself as MS NOW, but that wasn't the only new name considered. The executives at the network reportedly settled on the new name after whittling down a list of suggestions.

The Babylon Bee has obtained the following exclusive list of other names considered for the rebrand:

1. MSTrumpIsBadNBC: Including the channel's core message right in the name was a bold idea.

2. CNN+ 2: It was eventually decided that following in the footsteps of the original CNN+ was not a path to success.

3. Rachel Maddow's Gigante Variety Hour: An idea combining news and opinions with a 24-hour variety show hosted by Rachel Maddow.

4. The Almost Beating VH1 In The Ratings Network: Almost.

5. ESPN9: Tricking people into thinking they were going to see sports might finally attract viewers.

6. MS13: The marketing department reportedly said this name could be problematic.

7. MS Max: Later to be changed to just "Max", and then back to "MS Max" to avoid confusion.

8. REEEEEEEEEEEEE: Instant brand-recognition for the product.

In the end, the decision was made to switch the name to "MS NOW," which has just the right suggestion of multiple sclerosis for it to work.

It is a little tough, to be sure, when Microsoft wants their MS back and NBC wants their NBC back too. It leaves...nothing. Which might be appropriate. "The network whose name shall not be spoken" could work.
