Save the crop tops for Florida's beaches and keep your feet in your shoes as Spirit Airlines is cracking down on 'inadequate' clothing on its flights.
On Wednesday, the company quietly updated its contract of carriage for passengers, which includes updating its dress code for passengers flying the budget airline.
The new rule dictates that a guest 'shall not be permitted to board the aircraft' if they are 'barefoot or inadequately clothed.'
Among the examples of inappropriate travel outfits include: see-through clothing, exposed breasts, buttocks, or other private parts; lewd, obscene, or offensive clothing and tattoos.
The new regulation comes after multiple incidents of passengers being confronted over their attire.

Rats.
It shouldn’t.
How far our country has fallen morally if that’s the case.
How so?
Back in the day we used to dress up to get on an airplane.
Bring back class.

It sounds fine with me. Some people have no self-respect and no consideration for others.
Define inappropriate attire, something that would offend some Karen? On my flights when I’m the captain I don’t care what our clients wear. Their flight, they’re paying.
Idk is this a problem I’ve never seen it just excessively out of control and never should pretty young ladies be encouraged to wear more clothes.
LOL They better have security with dogs at check-in to enforce that.
My Walgreens plays classical music loudly: Bach, Schubert, Strauss— seems to be an effective “Ghetto-B-Gone” spray.

I suppose Spirit Airlines is trying to do the right thing. But their policy had better not affect one group more than another. Because if it should, lawsuits will be a’flying (no pun intended).
Dress respectfully like in the “olden days”. I have no problem with that!
Flying was really nice back then.....

Are they going to ban the employees for cursing at each other and fighting?

In the meantime, it will make for some great MIA and FLL terminal brawls on Chicago and NY flights.
I agree, but it works both ways. People used to get dressed up for an airplane flight like they were looking forward to a special experience.
Airport and airline staff generally delivered and made a flight a special experience for their passengers. Decent meals were served, kids got a little model airliner, seats were comfortable, and flight staff was courteous and attentive...the kind of things people didn't mind getting dressed up for.
Nowadays, everything from arrival to departure is akin to herding cattle into a barn, and disgorging them on the other side. Treat people like animals and you can expect them to dress, act (and sometimes smell) accordingly.
