Nick Norwitz, a doctorate student at Harvard University, found that contrary to the beliefs of many experts, his cholesterol levels actually dropped. After the month-long experiment that saw him eat the equivalent of 24 eggs per day his low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, or 'bad' cholesterol, fell by 18 percent.
Experts have demonized cholesterol in eggs for decades, warning that eating them may cause a surge in LDL levels and raise the risk of complications.
Dr Norwitz has a PhD in human brain metabolism from the University of Oxford and is completing his medical doctorate at Harvard University.

With the price of eggs, I’d be bankrupt.
My great Uncle John ate a 48 egg omelet while in the army early in the 20th century. I made him sick.
How can you stand eating about 2 dozen eggs a day?
That’s one egg an hour everyday for a month!
Eggs are good!
But I suppose that one can have too much of a good thing!
I eat 4 eggs a day for breakfast. NO problems. Our eggs are fresh out of the chicken house. Never more than a few hrs old.
In before the “Cool Hand Luke” posts..
23 eggs a day?
I eat 2 McDonald’s sausage & egg McMuffins daily so that’s 2 eggs a day everyday, I hate to cook, I’m 73.
We have definitely been lied too.
I am back on butter and salt. Oh,and doubled my meat consumption.
Haven’t started on lard,yet.
Look at all the people who lived into their 80s and 90s.
They didn’t eat low fat or little or no meat.
Also he makes a case against the lipid heart theory. For one, cholesterol is a very poor indicator of heart health. You can have high cholesterol and be healthy or have low cholesterol and fall over dead from a heart attack. This happened to my supervisor. He was feeling poorly so he went to the doctor and they ran blood panels, EKGs and did the treadmill stress test with heart monitor and passed all with flying colors. He came back excited because his cholesterol was perfect and died a week later at home from a massive heart attack. It’s plaque not cholesterol that is the problem and they are not the same.
That’s nothing....Cool Hand Luke at 50 at one time. :)
I recently read something by Vince Gironda where he advocated eating 36 raw eggs per day as part of a conditioning regimen.
Mmmmm mmmm mmmm....
Good for you. Are they brown or white?
That’s extreme but he’s obviously making a point. That is that eggs are not bad for you.
I have them every other day along with turkey bacon and an avocado. Everyday is too much for my wife so I go along to get along.
Those fresh yolks sure are yellow, aren’t they?
You should pickle about six dozen and send them to me.
Better late than never.
Thanks mairdie.
A leftist PBS style “journalist” named Morgan Spurlock ate only McDonald’s meals all day for a month in 2004 to make a documenary movie and write a book and then reported his physical and mental health had changed for the worse. Preposterous.
His Supersize Me film was nominated for an Academy Award.
This is not a Babylon Bee joke.
His name should have tipped us off he was nutty.
Years later, on regular diet for a long time, he died at age 53.
