It was also a cheap and easily obtained lubricant for Civil War era "cap-and-ball" revolvers that supposedly cut down the likelihood of having a chain fire. I used it now and then back when I fooled with such things, but the stuff would get so runny with any heat that I turned to purpose-made products.
Between Crisco migrating all over and the black powder fouling, an afternoon with the percussion revolvers was messy and a bit odoriferous.

It’s hard to find anything positive so I just overlooked the pain of the realization she actually runs the senate and when Biden keels, she would be in charge of the US and according to the most recent data exchange, on September 1, 2022, indicated that the United States deployed 659 strategic launchers with 1,420 attributed warheads (US State Department 2022a). This is a decrease of six deployed strategic launchers and an increase of 31 attributed warheads over the past 12 months. Damn scary ain’t it?
Seems like everyone is filling in holes on her. That’s how she has progressed. She lacks any major and few minor qualifications for running anything but a law office. In 2003, she was elected district attorney of San Francisco. She was elected Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Harris served as the junior United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021. So if the rest of the union was operating on California theories, she’d be qualified to climb her way to the presidency one voter at a time. She started that years ago.
She borderlines worthless on the bottom end of the requirement. But she would, with two paper sacks, be a hit at a party in a number of ways. Hope for her sake there is carpet on the floor and available throw pillows.

IMO, PP started out doing mighty fine work, then he got married to his own theory.

There were some gaps in his theory.

Good news is they are both theories so you can conclude what you want.
I’m comfy in my conclusions about Devolution, DJ’s critique and actors in WTM, BLM and “Rebs”.
What I do recognize is, that the “media influencers” are the ones fomenting division among the regulars in the field.

I agree that her presentation is NOT my style, too rambling, offhand etc. Definitely she does NOT think Flynn is a BH, but others are trying to get people to think that, particularly Lin Wood. I will not post another link to her, but if I read more articles (I will try) and any are more cogent and to the point, I’ll post.

Well, OK. The reason you like Crisco to keep your skillet clean is the same reason the German Navy liked it for their sub diesels. I’m pretty sure the Kraut submariners didn’t eat the stuff either but it does work to grease a pan with. And the liquid kind gets used to French fry spuds.

That’s just not fair: playing the butter and lard cards. Now you’ve gone and made me hungry. From the first time I saw a bakery guy buying lard in those bigaxx 5 gallon bricks That’s the only way I can visualize it now.
Both of my grandmothers were believers in the three food groups: salt, sugar and lard. Sadly, their intake of these deadly items ensured that their lifespans were cut to the mid- and upper nineties... and regrettably, their cooking was generally delicious.
If they had only cut out or reduced all the salt, sugar and lard, they both could have lived to be 200 and made food that nobody wanted to eat. Tragic!
There are actually five basic food groups: salt, sugar, fat, caffeine and chocolate. Doughnuts fill most of those food groups.
Crisco makes great pie crusts, made hundreds when I was a cook in the Army.
It's been years since I've made any but seems the ingredients for 17 double pie crusts (enough for 100 peaple) was about 8 qts crisco, 16 qts hard flower, 3 tbls salt, and about 1/2 cup cold water.
