I know, I’m just re-stating what their preliminary report said. Unlike sensors in nuclear power plants (former life) there’s little to no fail-over or redundancy. The fire started under the rail car because the axle had locked up.

I hadn’t caught that, I’ll have to re-read it. I know initially the sensors didn’t send a warning because the temperature hadn’t hit the warning threshold. By the time they did know anything was wrong it was too late.
The whole things stinks.
