Once the NFL embraced gambling, it was inevitable.

They added a bunch of safety rules years ago and the games immediately got boring. Then after a little while, got better again. I’d say that’s when it became scripted.

There are very fewer bigger NFL fans than I am. I’ve always been a fan, but a real SUPER-FAN since I started playing Fantasy in 1993. I’ve been saying, for a few years now, that the outcomes of many games are pre-determined. I don’t think they FIX them all, just enough to make the “script” play out. And, enough to make SURE the casinos and betting house keep a safe profit margin.

I remember the “Smoking Man” on the X-Files saying: the Buffalo Bills will never be allowed to win a Super Bowl.

After not watching football for at least 20 years, it seems that the refs are in charge of the outcome.

The last drive by KC was obviously rigged by the officials.

I think the real story is the referees have an unconscious bias - partially formed by league officials and media trends - that makes them favor certain teams or players. For example, I think the NFL and advertisers really wanted Kansas City quarterback Pat Mahomes to be in the Super Bowl, and that "iffy" unnecessary roughness call that set up Kansas City's winning field goal might have been an example of how bias can influence the outcome of a close game.
Pat Mahomes is arguably the league's number one pretty boy, appearing in numerous TV ads, loved by the ladies, so his presence in the Super Bowl would be considered a big plus.

Are you really going to leave a business worth over $10 billion on the books, and tens of billions off the books in gambling revenue, to chance?
I think not. Of course it’s scripted. The concept that players and refs aren’t on the take to some degree, is complete nonsense. There is just way too much money floating about not to take advantage and pocket some of it... And the good news... It’s tax free.
