My son makes YouTube videos for a living and is sponsored by a small array of advertisers. Recently he was sponsored by a company, Jase Medical, that allows one to visit an online doctor and after answering a few simple questions, you are prescribed 5 emergency antibiotics. The antibiotics treat pneumonia, bladder infections, bio-terror, Montezuma's revenge, and wound infections. I thought this was an incredible premise/service and wanted to share with you the ability to have a potentially life-saving supply on hand in case the SHTF.
I filled in the short online questionnaire and received by antibiotics in the mail yesterday. All five prescriptions were around $250. Compared to 5 doctor's office visits and filling the prescriptions, I consider this an excellent value. I hope you find this vanity post of value. If not, mods, please remove.
Thank you, Quilla
Thank you!
What were the five antibiotics you were prescribed?

Sold in feed stores and fish supply stores. Feed stores in rural areas won’t even give you a second look when purchasing.

Amoxicillin-Clavulanate
Azithromycin
Ciprofloxacin
Doxycycline
Metronidazole
I believe they last a year, but I’ve never been one to pay attention to expiration dates on anything but milk. LOL
Agreed.
Fish antibiotics. Much cheaper, same stuff.

Thanks. Can never be too prepared.
Not a Bring Out Your Dead Ping, but a Bring Out Your Antibiotics Ping...Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Hang the guilty. Free everyone else.
I have some saved.
Got a full bottle of amoxicillin from a prescription that I never used.
Also got a bottle of Doxycycline and a similar antibiotic from the vet. It was a mixup. Didn’t realize it til I got it home that it was meant for someone else. Call in and went and picked up the right prescription but got to keep the doxy.
I wrap them in ziplocks and squeeze out all the air to protect them from humidity and oxidation. Keep them in a dark cool place. They should last a lot longer than the label indicates.
Keep them in the freezer and they will last indefinitely.
Thanks.
We keep all of those on hand, ongoing.
This could matter - thanks for the information.
I suspect fish antibiotics are even harder to calculate dosage than my supply of ivermectin for horses. LOL Thanks Laz!
Heard of this on Lars Larson’s show.
We keep ours in our *very* cold fridge.
Did not know that, about the freezer. Thx.
