Thank you!
What were the five antibiotics you were prescribed?

Fish antibiotics. Much cheaper, same stuff.
Thanks. Can never be too prepared.
Not a Bring Out Your Dead Ping, but a Bring Out Your Antibiotics Ping...Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Hang the guilty. Free everyone else.
I have some saved.
Got a full bottle of amoxicillin from a prescription that I never used.
Also got a bottle of Doxycycline and a similar antibiotic from the vet. It was a mixup. Didn’t realize it til I got it home that it was meant for someone else. Call in and went and picked up the right prescription but got to keep the doxy.
I wrap them in ziplocks and squeeze out all the air to protect them from humidity and oxidation. Keep them in a dark cool place. They should last a lot longer than the label indicates.
This could matter - thanks for the information.
Heard of this on Lars Larson’s show.
I hope that they offer refills for a period of time. When they expire...some are actually safe to take and effective for at least year after expiration...some are not. Research the meds they gave you. Don’t take any of the antibiotics in the tetracycline family after expiration: tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, etc. They begin to change chemically after a period of time into a very toxic form. Hits the kidneys hard.
Also, NEVER take tetracycline without plenty of liquid to wash it down. They can stick in the esophagus and give you a nasty, EXCRUCIATINGLY painful ulcer.
Tell your son Thanks! s/
Indiscriminate use, over proscribing of and misuse of anti-biotics for virial infections rather than for bacterial infections has contributed to anti-biotic resistant bacteria.
thanks
thats a steep price , but i’d love to save some azithro just for dental emergencies. ideas?
Good post - bookmarked for later to see answers to some of the questions already posted

The antibiotics treat pneumonia, bladder infections, bio-terror, Montezuma's revenge, and wound infections. “
Some of the medications available online :
Quilla : ( in Post #8)
”Amoxicillin-Clavulanate

I believe they last a year, but I’ve never been one to pay attention to expiration dates on anything but milk. LOL “

How do we really know what we get is safe, real, and who exactly is behind this site?
I have very little trust left after what I witness anymore.
