The Washington Post has published a correction after one of its writers was accused of racism for jokingly claiming in an article that Indians use only one spice in their cuisine. Humor columnist Gene Weingarten criticized Indian food last Thursday in an article titled ‘You can’t make me eat these foods’ where he claimed it’s “the only ethnic cuisine in the world insanely based entirely on one spice.”
“If you like Indian curries, yay, you like Indian food!” Weingarten wrote, before adding, “If you think Indian curries taste like something that could knock a vulture off a meat wagon, you do not like Indian food.”

I like vindaloo curry stuff.
It wasn’t funny. Hence the confusion.
It was ray-ciss, even if it was funny. White boy disses colored folk food.
I cannot stand Indian food. Awful.
People have no sense of humor (even though this joke was rather weak). I love Indian food, and cook it all the time. I have a vast collection of spices and herbs.
Knock a vulture off a gut wagon.
I’ve passed a few dump trucks loaded with guts and it’s nasty nasty shit.
The Bee is finished. They cannot compete with reality.
Though it wouldn’t have mattered in the land of the woke, Rule 1 for a joke is that it be funny. Indian cuisine uses a lot of curry. No, really, it does. Lol. Ugh.
Unlike white trash cooking which uses 5 spices, salt, pepper, sugar, ketchup and mayonnaise- I have the recipe book so this is simply a statement of fact.
HAHAHAA. I love when liberals eat each other. Better add some chutney...
Indian restaurants are the only ones i refuse to go to. I can’t even tolerate the smell when I walk inside one.
I can’t imagine i’d like the food If i can’t take the smell.
Well more for the people who love it.
As anyone familiar with Indian cooking could tell him, Curry simply means Powder, always a specific one or a specific blend.
With curry, squirrels taste good.
The local “Indian” restaurants around me are mainly MUSLIM.
Sheesh. People need to lighten up.
Now you know why —— Indians are all thin!
