Apparently, we are chewing average pizza but eschewing (allegedly) good beer. (I never liked Sam Adams, myself, though I like plenty of dark beers)

What did Sams and Yards do other than make good beer?

“Dominos is not great pizza, but it’s consistent, fast, inexpensive...”
My Wife and I make pizza weekly (often more) and are very persnickety about pizza when we are away from home.
We have found the thin crust Dominos pizza to be very good when we have to travel. It costs a bit more to order custom pizzas with the thin crust ($18.00 but it IS worth it).

The quantity of good local craft beers is such that I very rarely purchase a nationally distributed brand anymore.
My one regionally sourced “go to” brand is Shiner Bock.
After that, it’s all stuff produced in my area or in my state.
I used to like many of Sam Adam’s brews but I’d rather support the local little guy who’s struggling to do what he loves.

Man, I haven’t been to Aldi’s in ages.
Now, I’m just gonna have to go. :)

It is the hard seltzer craze. Crap grain alcohol and soda water that is just a bit cheaper than beer.

When I was very young in SoCal in the 50s my dad always looked forward to Bock beer (had a goat on the label) and as I remember it only came out in the spring. It was also the only dark beer available—beer that looked like beer in the old movies they showed on TV back then.

Boston Beer (Sam Adams) should be going gang-busters as their hard seltzer drink (Truly) is now runner-up to White Claw in market share.

“ Sams went LGBTQ and Yards BLM.”
When Sam Adams refused to join the ST. Patrick’s Day Parade because they didn’t want the LGBTG in it, I quit drinking it.

I haven’t been to a Dominos pizza for three years, (even though my local one is more convenient to get to than the Pizza Hut) since they wanted to charge me a dollar each for the little parmesan cheese packets, on top of having shrunk the diameter of the pizza by about 20%.

Never was a fan of Sam Adams beer. Cherry Wheat was interesting in small doses, but overall don’t care for their stuff.
Domino’s Pizza is fast and nominally edible.

I am eating a delicious thin crust parmesan garlic sauce spinach red pepper and mushroom Domino’s pizza right paired with Aldi’s $2.95/bottle Winking Owl Merlot right now so I’m getting a kick...
We’ve actually upgraded from Little Caesar’s to Domino’s recently. Our local has a deal of $7.99 three topping large if you just go pick it up. Way better than Little Caesars.

Here's another politically motivated ad from Sam Adams: promoting a Ruth Bader Ginsberg inspired beer. What's that about?! Go WOKE, Go BROKE.

But Shiner Bock and BBQ. Now those are two good reasons to move to Texas.
