“The Howard Stern Show,” long in decline, is dead.
In March 2020, when New York City officially went into lockdown, Stern fled to his basement in the Hamptons. Over one year later and now vaccinated, as he first admitted on-air Monday — back from yet another vacation — Stern still has no intention of ever returning to his Midtown studio, his luxury Upper West Side apartment, or any semblance of pre-pandemic life.

Stern going to satellite was the beginning of the end.
His talent was pushing the envelope, but when there is no longer an envelope to push, it just gets boring.
The Greaseman was way better. Way better.
I haven’t listened to that garbage for 20 years.
Same here. Not sorry to hear his show is in decline, hell, it was a relic ten years ago.
“The Howard Stern Show,” long in decline, is dead.

Low IQ adolescent boys everywhere are in mourning.
I subscribe to Sirius for the classical channel and Sinatra, but I have never wanted to pay extra for Stern. I have never understood how he has a following.
I did not know he was still on the air.
When I left the Long Island area in ‘94, I had already stopped listening.
Bought a new car with 3 months of Siris for free, listened to Stern for 5 minutes when he was chatting with Jerry Seinfeld and it got very old very fast.
Just brutal.
He is still around? Wow, who would have thought?
He’s like spoiled milk, after sitting in the sun for 20 days.
I was a huge Howard Stern fan when he was doing afternoon drive on WNBC AM 660. Some of the funniest segments was when Robin Quivers would do the news and Howard would make satirical comments. Then he want national and started to name drop all the time. I got bored and have not listened since then.
Well, I am the Klassische Musik König after all.
He is smart to not return to New York City.
He’ll end up in Florida with the rest of them.
Nope, not a fan.
Always loathed that creep and have never listened to his disgusting show. I never understood what the attraction was unless people just like hearing other people being humiliated and abused and enjoy gross humor. Stern is like Steven Colbert. He makes a living off of hurting other people. I can’t stand either one of them.
The show was never the same after Jackie the Jokeman left 20 years ago. It has suffered ever since. I liked the show for many years, but stopped after Stern started kissing John Kerry’s ass during the election campaign of ‘04. Bye bye, “funnyman”.
Howard Stern’s show depended on commuters stuck in their cars listening to the radio. No commuters - no audience. No one would listen to that show if they had other options as evidenced by the fact he had no Saturday morning show.
