Stern always wanted to be an interviewer, and I must admit, he’s actually a quite good interviewer when he wants to be.
But the thing is, if he wants those interviews with celebrities, he’s got to go along with the Hollywood Dogma.
“Nino Greasemanelli”
Trucker: Hey Grease, I got a story for you. Last week I driving my rig and was about 30 minutes from home when I started brown capping...
LMFAO!
I thought Stern was like Imus. You really had to be a regular listener to get most of their jokes. There was lots of inside stuff. Often it was inside NYC stuff. Imus became more and more self-focused. Stern is going to end up sounding like Morty at the Deli complaining about the size of his piece of cake.
DITTO! and I was surprised some years ago, (more than 25) to see one of his CDs sitting on the kitchen counter of a customer of mine who were observant Jews. Seemed like a little cognitive dissonance. Never brought up the subject though.

He could have gone out with some dignity by continuing to judge talent shows like America's Got Talent but chose not to.
Who?
“I was never a fan.”
Why are you posting this?
After the Jokeman left it sucked, he was a key player in my mind. Neither one was that great but together they were good.
Ditto, I too have never been a fan. He use to be played on the pa system in the gym locker room, and I never cared for him. If it wasn’t him, the radio guy was a ‘shock jock’ like Stern. The show was on M-F mornings 6-9am in the DC area in 89-93 during my last 4 years in the Army
WOKV in Jacksonvillle FL Greaseman? Used to listen to him at work.
Stern is worth $650 million. He is laughing at all of us.
Give a filthy, classless pig a microphone and you get a filthy, classless pig with a microphone.
The Stern show was like Playboy magazine: a shot of shocking fresh air that inspired a host of inferior imitators at first, but then ultimately swept away as overall cultural offerings became easily accessible (via the web), more segmented, and arguable more degraded.
It was long enough to know that Stern is past his due date. I also listened to Stern talk to John Stamos for a few min and sex did come up. When you have little talent left they always go for a sex angle.
After the Jokeman left, it was down hill. Neither one was that good by themselves. like a Rock Band, they both suck now.
“The Greaseman was way better. Way better.”
Yes!!
Greaseman made Stern look like the potty mouthed pre-teen he is. Grease was well worth listening to.
What is he doing now?
i could listen to him only occasionally and not in mixed company. (!!)
But I think Beth has his nuts in a box somewhere, and a cat rescue?? I don’t see Stern as a cat fan in the first place.
Hobble.
