Covid cases have dropped 77% in six weeks. Experts should level with the public about the good news.
In large part because natural immunity from prior infection is far more common than can be measured by testing. Testing has been capturing only from 10% to 25% of infections, depending on when during the pandemic someone got the virus. Applying a time-weighted case capture average of 1 in 6.5 to the cumulative 28 million confirmed cases would mean about 55% of Americans have natural immunity.
...Antibody studies almost certainly underestimate natural immunity. Antibody testing doesn’t capture antigen-specific T-cells, which develop “memory” once they are activated by the virus. Survivors of the 1918 Spanish flu were found in 2008—90 years later—to have memory cells still able to produce neutralizing antibodies.
...But the consistent and rapid decline in daily cases since Jan. 8 can be explained only by natural immunity. Behavior didn’t suddenly improve over the holidays; Americans traveled more over Christmas than they had since March. Vaccines also don’t explain the steep decline in January. Vaccination rates were low and they take weeks to kick in.

of course the 77% drop, after January 6th I note, has NOTHING to do with the election.
We won’t have herd immunity or resolution as long as politicians and criminals like Bill Gates can make money and gain power on the crisis.
Sort of like perpetually shorting gold and silver in an artificial oscillating market.
Well thats one possible outcome. Another is devestating vaccine side effects. Time will tell

Changing the testing methods (specifically lowering the number of PCR cycles) probably helped a bit.

Didn’t Fauci and fiends laugh at the whole herd-immunity idea not long ago?
Ever since Joe Bidens inauguration. I’m sure he lifted his hands in the air and told the virus to just go away.
That was my first thought. Trump’s gone so all the hard working dems working in city hospitals or as coroners don’t have to work so hard pumping up the numbers by calling everything covid.
Now the elites will have to create a new bug in a lab.
They are enjoying watching the plebes run around like rats in a maze.
