Earths atmosphere sees several thousand meteors of fireball magnitude each day, so they are quite common. We are just typically unable to see them due to daylight and because a vast majority occur over oceans and uninhabited regions.
However, the brighter the fireball, the more rare it is.
Do fireballs make a sound?
Sounds like sociologys favorite question of If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise? But the answer is quite interesting.
According to the American Meteor Society, fireballs can make a soundtwo in fact. Both generated by very bright fireballs and both very rare.
They are called sonic booms and electrophonic sounds. Remember the sonic booms of 2017 and sonic booms of 2019? I sure do. Not only were they unbelievably loud, but they also shook my house.

They can go Boom if they come down far enough and are big enough. I have never heard one myself, but, have friends who have. It happens.

See it as a warning that electing Biden will bring another one... right into our midsection.

Years ago a large fireball went right over our house high in the night sky and I heard a roaring sound coming from it. No boom.

Columbia over Texas in '03 created fireballs and sonic booms.
Solemn time and event.

I have heard a fireball. A fireball happened over Phoenix early in the morning. I thought it was just the upstairs neighbors. At dawn as I went outside and I saw an amazing cloud trail that had me thinking it was from a rocket, but there was nothing known in the direction I was looking that to do that. It was only later on during the day I discovered the
real truth. By the way a recent
meteor over Russia was loud enough to break windows and injure people!
