Well, we’re not quite to the point of growing our own shrimp. So to the store we go.

every time I find a little new piece of information it seems to lead back in some way to genetic disorders that evolved due to malaria

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0080723

Defining the Range of Pathogens Susceptible to Ifitm3 Restriction Using a Knockout Mouse Model

https://inews.co.uk/news/health/hope-for-sickle-cell-disease-patients-after-promising-gene-therapy-breakthrough-201666

https://www.embopress.org/doi/10.15252/emmm.201809958

Toward these goals, we have contributed over the past 25 years to develop a new gene transfer system based on the human lentivirus HIV, which has become widely used in biomedical research (Naldini et al, 1996, 2016). These lentiviral vectors (LV) exploit the core machinery of HIV for efficient nuclear translocation and integration of their genetic payload into the chromatin of human cells and are packaged with the surface envelope of other viruses to allow targeting a wide range of cells....

. As more restriction factors are uncovered, new drugs become available to counteract them and enable enhanced (Wang et al, 2014; Petrillo et al, 2015; Zonari et al, 2017; Heffner et al, 2018) and better matched gene transfer among donors, as in the case of cyclosporin H, which overcomes IFITM3 restriction (Petrillo et al, 2018).

. Conclusion:IFITM3 rs12252 CC genotype was associated with severity rather than susceptibility of IVI in Chinese population, and this strong effect was observed in all subtypes of seasonal influenza infection

so after snoping around in biochemistry of which I Have no understanding

The Chinese have an issue with IFITM3. If some Evil empire wanted to develop a bioweapon to target the Chinese they might look to that.

Chinese might worry about that and do experiments with Bats and IFITM3 for whatever reason. They have done studies with bats and pigs and IFITM3.

The US is seeing a lot of deaths but not like China...for a variety of reasons.

None of this is very helpful to determine what to do if your IfITM3 has been monkeyed around with by the virus.\\\

https://www.genomeweb.com/sequencing/international-team-detects-gene-variant-influencing-flu-susceptibility

“From these findings, the researchers speculated that when IFITM3 is not fully functional, the immune system might be forced to cope with a much larger viral load, upping the chances of severe infection. Once they are let loose in host cells, viruses also have the chance to tinker with immune system components that help recognize viruses, Brass noted.

you’re wrong. The blood is on the hands of the CCP.

First recognized CCPVirus death in the US, March 1.
First accurate test in the world for CCPVirus, Mayo Clinic USA, Mar 12.
First ‘compassionate use’ of hydroxychloroquine, USA, Mar 20
First accurate antibody test in the world, USA, Mar 25.
First rapid 15-min covid test in the world, USA, Mar 28.
First ‘approved’ treatment mediator (remdesivir) in the world, USA, May 1

we live in a fast-food nation, with same-day amazon, and Netflix on demand, but disease doesn’t work on those timelines. IF you want multiple on-demand testing for yourself, pull out the credit card and buy them - $129/pop last I looked. Otherwise, you’re going to have to wait in line, behind the first responders, the caregivers and the high-risk, for a test that was only invented 36 days ago. Perspective, my FRiend. Perspective.

Wuhan virus lab ‘cover up’: Startling photos of scientists wearing little or no protection as they handle deadly bat samples mysteriously vanish from its website
The Wuhan’s Institute of Virology has removed photographs of scientists working in its laboratories and edited out references to visits by US diplomats
The edited material includes a page of the institute’s website showing pictures of staff entering caves to take swabs from bats carrying coronaviruses
As a result of one diplomat’s visit, cables were sent to the US State Department from the embassy warning about the risks of the bat experiments

I may try adding some meat to the order at midnight. Wish it could be left out in the sunshine, sigh. The bread is going to be left out a few days, then put in pre-CV bags that I had to argue not to throw out.

It’s party central here on the water with tons of idiots on motorized water toys. Of course, they have to play in front of us. Can’t hear myself think for them. Blasting music and loud drunken hollering, too. And big dogs.

The next door neighbors are having another family reunion this weekend. They’re begging for CV. The people on the other side of them have rented their place out and it looks like most other rentals are full. It’s like those kindergarten chicken pox parties here except louder and more deadly.

This guy might be headed to the Gulag

“Professor Yuan, the most senior Communist Party official in the Wuhan laboratory, was used to hit back last week at ‘malicious’ claims that the pandemic originated in his institute. Yet he wrote ‘the maintenance cost is generally neglected’ in his article last September, adding that due to ‘limited resources’ supposedly secure laboratories ‘run on extremely minimal operational costs – or in some cases, none at all’. “

fyi
valley fever is a lung fungal infection usually obtained by breathing in fungal spores in parts of calif or arizona
60 % usually resolve with mild flu like symptoms, but it can be severe pneumonia, and even disseminate to other parts of the body/meningitis, requiring substantial long term treatment, sometimes amputation or death. pregnancy, immune deficiency, diabetes, age, are factors. severity is greatest in some ethnic groups, primarily filipino and african americans...i wonder if severity is like coronavirus and based partially on genetics...
here is some info i find it interesting and possibly some parallels to coronavirus.

https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/5/5/99-0508_article
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3012635/

I survived a non-disseminated but severe pneumonia case of valley fever, probably aggravated by use of cortisone-immune system suppressant two days prior to inhaling spores when I was caught in a freak multiple dust devil storm at dusk in kern county farmland, fortunately my primary care doctor diagnosed it immediately! I had to take fluconazole for a whole year and had my blood titer levels checked regularly. My specialist had recently lost two patients, a doctor and his son to valley fever. Needless to say coronavirus concerns me greatly having had a possible similar experience before.

A relative of mine had this. He had No idea when he had it. Found out when a CT done that showed spleen
https://www.cdc.gov/fungal/diseases/histoplasmosis/index.html

Note you can get it from bat droppings.

Nowhere near as severe as what you had

Histoplasmosis
Histoplasmosis is an infection caused by a fungus called Histoplasma. The fungus lives in the environment, particularly in soil that contains large amounts of bird or bat droppings. In the United States, Histoplasma mainly lives in the central and eastern states, especially areas around the Ohio and Mississippi River valleys. The fungus also lives in parts of Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

People can get histoplasmosis after breathing in the microscopic fungal spores from the air. Although most people who breathe in the spores don’t get sick, those who do may have a fever, cough, and fatigue. Many people who get histoplasmosis will get better on their own without medication, but in some people, such as those who have weakened immune systems, the infection can become severe.

Between 8,330 and 17,160 people died [between April 2009 and January 16, 2010] from H1N1, with a middle range of about 12,000, the CDC said. But between 880 and 1,800 children died, up to 13,000 adults under the age of 65 and only 1,000 to 2,000 elderly. (reuters)

I’d say that H1N1 was not as infective or as deadly, with a far slower spread, with far fewer complications extending ICU bed hours and with fewer mortalities per week than CCPVirus.
10 months: 17K deaths or 1.7K deaths/mo
2 months: 66K deaths or 33K deaths/mo

A Senior Intelligence Source tells me there is agreement among most of the 17 Intelligence agencies that COVID-19 originated in the Wuhan lab. The source stressed that the release is believed to be a MISTAKE, and was not intentional.
