I am convinced the Flu Bro mindset is being fostered and fed by nefarious sources.

I really am to starting to believe confusing and false information is fed to conservative and some alternative sources to feed the (real) anger and confusion of conservatives.

I think the anger, confusion, financial anxiety is all real but I think bad actors are feeding it and using it for reasons I don't 100% fully understand. It is insanely brand damaging but I don't think thst is the purpose. Just a side perk.

The two words "second wave" sends the Flu Bros into an insane rage.

They think it is more likely that a flying saucer full of little green aliens will land on the WH lawn.

In this case CV impacts their livelihood in a negative way--therefore they cannot believe it and cannot abide anyone else believing it.

I have been thinking a lot about that lately. There is almost certainly some of that out there, but it is so hard to quantify what is real and what is trolling by trouble-makers of some sort.

I differentiate here between new posters (who I totally disregard as potential trolls) and old-timers.

The old-timers who are Flu Bros are the vast majority, from what I have seen.

We are all human and have our "Achilles Heel".

CV just zeroed in on theirs and they are screaming in pain.

World wide we are still on the first wave or initial surge with no way to plateau the peak. This is because we have no way to prevent the disease spread through the third world. Personally I think the disease has to kill off a bunch of just a flu bros before we can enter a global mitigation phase. Boris getting it helped the UK. The Russian Prime Minister getting it will help Russia. Etc. Etc.

I wonder if these actors are spreading confusion to get Trump supporters agitated and confused so they will get out and protest, or at least go out in protected. I mean that is the bottom line, it’s like they want conservatives to get exposed and get sick.

I actually got in a heated discussion with a long time friend over it yesterday. She was worked because Costco is going to start making people wear masks to come in the store. Even weirder, she was actually wearing masks out a few weeks ago but she's an avid FOX News viewer so clearly she's been manipulated by their broadcasts.

I said, "You know, they had to wear masks during the Spanish Flu and it's not your constitutional right to spread a potentially deadly virus"

She then went on with the paying to put people on ventilators, the two doctor's press conference, the pressured to classify everything as a COVID death mantras.

All very suspicious to me.

I wish we had some insight into rabble rousing level of the "open "Murica protests".

I am a high risk individual on the front lines treating people with covid and have been since it started. No bunker necessaryq. This is not my first rodeo I have been through other epidemics and pandemics

you fearbros are in denial. mitigation and lockdown do nothing. This thing has been circulating here since at least January long before any if the current charade started. It has peaked and is declining. fl From a healthcare perspective it has been no worse than H1N1 and we did none of this at that time. It is time to stop the economic and social suicide and open up the country.

Good theory Lil. I think receiving an initial heavy viral load was the explanation of why so many young health care workers, and doctors, were dying.

And I'm just as worried about the long term affects. My niece seems to be better, but still isn't back to her old vibrant self. Heaven help her if she has a relapse in her current state.

I've had bad cases of the flu, and always within a few days of it clearing up, I was back to my old self. No way did it ever take weeks to recover from it.

The best outcome from the coronavirus would be to shut the doors of the CDC, FDA, and NIH, forever.

Everything they do could better be done at the state and local levels, except for data collection and modeling which they've sorely failed at. Data collection would better be collected by some independent government IT arm with no political axe to grind - modeling as well.
