World wide we are still on the first wave or initial surge with no way to plateau the peak. This is because we have no way to prevent the disease spread through the third world. Personally I think the disease has to kill off a bunch of just a flu bros before we can enter a global mitigation phase. Boris getting it helped the UK. The Russian Prime Minister getting it will help Russia. Etc. Etc.
I'm afraid you're right about this after reading a number flubro threads - it's research, right. Anyhow, I came away after reading some of the comments better understanding the recent spike in case numbers.
There's no fixin' stupid. Now flubros are complaining about attention to a pertent fact that more Americans died from the coronavirus in just two months than died during the entire Vietnam war. Somehow doing so denigrates war dead, following by numerous comparisons with other causes of death - I suppose because more have now died in two months than died during the worst flu season in recent years, the 2017-18 flu season.
They're going to need another slogan. It's just the flu is no longer valid.
