Arizona man dies after taking chloroquine for coronavirus

March 23 (Reuters) - An Arizona man has died and his wife is in critical condition after they ingested chloroquine phosphate - an aquarium cleaning product similar to drugs that have been named by President Trump as potential treatments for coronavirus infection.

The couple, in their 60s, experienced immediate distress after swallowing the drug, an additive used at aquariums to clean fish tanks, according to Banner Health Hospital in Phoenix.

Chloroquine phosphate shares the same active ingredient as malaria drugs that President Trump has touted as possibly effective against COVID-19, the potentially life-threatening disease caused by the coronavirus.

But; was a proper warning affixed to the aquarium product?

I smell a class action suit in the future!

I’ve been posting the MSDS sheet url and telling them (it says If Ingested, call POISON center. Surely it’s labeled as such as req by law. The couple “acted stupidly”) to every blue check I see with that BS line

I am drinking Tonic water with quinine. Keeping that quinine circulating in blood to kill the germs.

I could be wrong, but I have not heard of quinine helping with Wu-Flu. I believe Chloroquine and quinine are unrelated drugs that are both used to treat malaria.

On another note, I hope you are drinking gin with that tonic water.

Growing up in Malaria infested India, my mother forced us to swallow lots of quinine pills. They are really bitter and we kids hated them, but it kept us from getting viral diseases.

“What the f*** is happening in this country!”

Civil war fought asymmetrically.

Stupid people are very useful in a society where a slim majority of the entire mass population can determine everything. In fact, stupid people are far more useful than intelligent people in such a society.

It does matter because the info may have been a setup to bludgeon Trump with.
In other words, the info was planted with intent to kill an American citizen to further a specific agenda.

Don’t know if it’s the same guy, but reports are circulating that may debunk this:

I actually still have some quinine pills from back when I could get them for leg cramps. I seldom take them, because they have potentially dangerous side effects; but they sure knock out leg cramps.

However, I really don't like the taste of tonic water unless it's in a gin & Tonic (I'm not fond of green olives either, unless they are in a martini).

Gin & Tonic is a good drink, not sugary tasting. It was my favorite along with a good and decadent Pina colada! The best ever Pina Colda I had was in a roadside bar on the way to the rain forest in Puerto Rico. It was served in a coconut shell with fresh pineapple and fresh coconut milk.

But I have given up alcohol nearing age 80.
Now my way of getting high is 30 minutes on the treadmill listening to Mozart via headphones. It is shocking to see the benefits of regular aerobic exercise. I can eat anything I want, including saturated fats and salty foods, and get away with it.

“They’re too many stupid people...”

You can’t cure stupid.

“....who will go and see what the mainstream media purposely put out...”

See above.

“is the same name of the drug that he is saying will help us..”

He didn’t say that. He said they are studying drugs that show promise. The proper term is might help us, not will. That’s where the stupid part is contributory.

“....this is no time for President Trump to act like President Bush and be above The Fray.”

He, and Pence, are doing updating press conferences daily, and in some cases, hourly. He can only tell the people that work is being done. He doesn’t do it himself and he cannot make recommendations on any drugs other than an opinion of possible help. He knows he isn’t qualified. But he is giving the public information for their spirit and that’s all he can do. A president, like a CEO, doesn’t do the work himself. He surrounds himself with qualified people he trusts to do it right. That’s the major difference between him and Obama and his unlimited executive orders changing law and policy.

Other drugs that are being tested are those used to treat hepatitus C, Malaria, HIV, and combinations of those. Few know those and how they are being tested. Trump. most likely, included. He’s a results man in most occasions.

God gave man a free will. Even if they want to step off a cliff or drink quinine. Lead a horse to water, but....

chloroquine (the pharmacutical) is to chloroquine phosphate, as water (H2O) is to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2.) They're similar, chemically, but not interchangeable.

The propagandists for the DNC will do anything to try to tar President Trump.

The propagandists, formerly known as the mass media, has so tarnished their reputation that it will probably never recover.
