The Chinese authorities have released first pictures of a new strain of coronavirus which has killed at least 81 people and infected more than 2,800.
China's National Microbiology Data Center published electron microscopic images of the novel coronavirus extracted from two patients in Wuhan, the ground zero of the outbreak of the deadly virus.
Wuhan's mayor Zhou Xianwang today revealed that the city was seeing human-to-human transmission of the disease 'on a large scale'.

Maybe, but I would not count on it.
These sorts of diseases have, over the last few decades, become the “boy who cried wolf” for me.
Maybe this time it really is the wolf. But I’m taking the “I’ve stopped believing it” position, other than refusing to go to China right now. Time may prove me wrong.
And at the end of the day, I just consider it to be basically an equivalent to the flu.
I’m 66 and have never had a flu shot. I also have no health insurance. The Lord provides.

There is TMI out there about the virus. Patents are also issued, IIRC, in order to make vaxes. At this point the info is all over the spectrum and I am waiting for the dust to settle before I come to any conclusion. Yesterday there was a thread with info from some big dude, head of John Hopkins, andf it was quite rational; basically not much is actually known at this point.

Two chinese, husband and wife, were working in some virus lab capacity in Canada and were found illegally and legally transmitting info to China, recently. May be connected. Who knows. There was a good amount of news on it here (FR) but I did not read carefully, just headlines basically.
