The Chinese authorities have released first pictures of a new strain of coronavirus which has killed at least 81 people and infected more than 2,800.
China's National Microbiology Data Center published electron microscopic images of the novel coronavirus extracted from two patients in Wuhan, the ground zero of the outbreak of the deadly virus.
Wuhan's mayor Zhou Xianwang today revealed that the city was seeing human-to-human transmission of the disease 'on a large scale'.

Seems all these nasties, Avian Flu, SARS and such comes from Asia, Mostly China. Even the Bubonic Plague is believed to have spread from Central Asia. Should bottle the place up.
I know it’s a serious thread topic, but that comment was pure genius.
Could turn out that meat eaters, smokers and coffee drinkers are immune to it. Vegetarians of the dem persuasion hit hardest.
All joking aside, prayers that a cure is found ASAP.
So having a relative die from exactly everything in that diagram years ago....with flu diagnosis/sepsis/pneumonia dead in very short time from onset of symptoms...
it seems to me this is a ratcheted up version of what killed her.
You use the bat/sars virus that was developed at Chapel Hill as a bioweapon.
You create the cytokine storm.
So key would be preventing or lowering the storm.
People watch too many ‘everybody dies of disease” movies. If you don’t live in China, you should worry more about wearing your seatbelt. Even if you are one of the rare people outside of China that contracts this.

I completely disagree.
This is operating EXACTLY like something I had experience with...and the problem here is that if you don’t take it seriously it can kill you pretty damn quick. Who survives and why and who doesn’t is an unknown factor.
You dont know to take it seriously because who does when they have the first symptoms.
And medical professionals wont take it seriously unless you can tell them you have been to China.
You should take all the precautions you should take with the flu knowing it could cause a cytokine storm and kill you...whether it be from the bat/sars virus that the US developed at Chapel Hill, or the virus someone got from eating bat soup in a market... or just plain ole US flu.
