They are FURRY and FUZZY. That’s how.
Mrs. Child of the 60s was gone for 3 weeks. Our daughter brought over Chester, her Rhodesian Ridgeback to me and said he will keep structure in your life while mom is gone.
And so he did. He got me up at the same time every day for 2 miles of hiking. As well as a slightly shorter hike every evening. He was my pal, my confidant and just good company.
He went home today leaving me with a houseful of gigantic mutant dust bunnies composed of dog fur. /chuckle
My dog Sprit is my service dog, he is a seizure detection dog. He is an American Escamo
Even the ones who are not fuzzy help.
When Halla tragically died, grieving hubby was useless for comforting me.
So, I got Bob T Boa out of his house and just sat in the kitchen with him.
Instead of his usual rambling around, he pressed his face against my tear-streaked cheek and then gently enfolded me with his 8 foot self and “hugged” me for a good half hour, constantly nuzzling my face.
I have no idea how much he understood, but it was the only time he’s ever done such a thing.
It really helped.
Beautiful dogs!
Your snake pets seem to have as much empathy for you as you have for
them and your lovely puppies. That story is really very heartwarming.
Ophidiophobes begone!
“They” say that Standard Poodles are one of the most intelligent breeds of dog.
Raw Food Diet.
I am looking for a Sable and White English Shepherd to replace the one that moved out with my son. Great Dogs. I really would like a new one to keep company.
I am not sure I am ready for puppy but a nice farm dog? Absolutely.
And they snuggle.
My Grandma always had Standard Poodles. Smart, fun dogs!
I have a, ‘Rufus,’ too. But he’s a Basset Hound. Also a good listener! :)
Horses keep me slender, tough, and in shape with the ceaseless labor they demand. They give me a thrilling freedom when we gallop and jump, with all the risk involved. They give me artistic satisfaction and a sort of Zen-like peace when together we create a private beauty in the graceful movements of dressage. They give me the contentment of maternal love when I care for them, and fascinated delight when our differing minds enjoy nature together. They force me to be gentle and patient, controlled and self-sacrificing, brave and strong. I rejoice in their magnificence. Dogs love humans easily, but when a horse loves, it’s a rare gift. They are my benison, and I thank God each day for the time with them.
Our son has to work by himself in a stressful job. I’m trying to talk him into taking our dog with him. It could happen. We call him (the dog not the son) Mr. Wiggles, Therapy Dog!!!!.... but only when he’s working.
Mine don’t so much snuggle, they bury me in the puppy pile.
I got so much slobber on me when they are done I feel like I been swimming.
