I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site.
As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

Talisker: really, seriously, I am shocked and saddedned that somebody treated you so unjustly with a twist of the caucus knife. I wasn't there, and I'm not going to search and find out who did it, but please accept from me the most heartfelt apology.
It must have been like extending the hand of fellowship and receiving a stinging slap. Please pray for us, please forgive.

There have been so many Catholic postings that you click on for some reason.
If the title topic does NOT interest me, I don't click on said thread. I think your screen name should be SLOW learner.

"You may have to give the smelling salts to some of your RC cohorts who read that line." OOOoh, I think I've got the vapors! Headin' for the sofa!
Actually, I too think Tax-chick is to be trusted in moments of dubiety. You, too. Anyone with a good heart and a love of Our Lord.

I prefer not to engage in public panel discussions about my shower habits, but we did have a heckuva good soaker storm yesterday. Whoosh! Revived my squashes, maybe even rescued my pole beans, who knows?

This is not to say FR doesn't need a religion forum. Politics and society benefit by a knowledgeable, balanced religious debate. I just wish I could get my activity tab working so I can bypass the 20-30 "Caucus" threads to find a discussion worth looking at.

It does look like allot more caucus threads recently. I think it happens when they are weary of loosing the battle for truth......it's a place they can go to heal their wounds and feel good about what they believe....like a group session to recover.....The word of God does bring down the walls of falsehoods so they need to re-enforce their beliefs. Caucaus threads allows them some down time together.....but non-catholics don't need down time or to heal from the debates....truth always stands tall.

All true.
I don't really care if they want or need that down time, but geez it's getting so hard to find the threads that are actually interesting. Are you having trouble with your activity tab or is it just me?
You know it's gotten pretty silly when an 11 yr RC member is sick and tired of it.

When people think prayer is punishment, that says something about them. You have to be Catholic to find the humor, but I will pray for you that you may find your sense of humor one day :)

it's getting so hard to find the threads that are actually interesting. There does seem to be allot mundane. But then things are much quieter here on Fr overall in the summer...as also across the nation. I don't use the activity tab....I pretty much want to see it all...then I determine as I go what I want to see. Mostly Breaking News and current posts to stay abreast of current happenings...then I travel the threads there after.

I am Catholic, and I used to have a sense of humor, but now I have nine children, a dog, two cats, a fish, a gerbil, a chameleon, three anoles, two dragons, a snake, and a large garden spider.
Is it Five O’clock Somewhere yet?
