Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonights thread!
1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting meeting the parents stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a backup scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?
Hello!!! how are you ?
I am struggling to keep awake. Need to find my bed soon... very sleepy.
Have you moved yet? all settled? I have been here at my mom's so long (it was to be 3 months)..(that was in 1992), that it would be a nightmare to move, get stuff organized , decide what to keep/toss..
Great. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
"One could call it constructive dismissal"
Indeed.
She probably is taking out her frustrations on me. After all, her husband fires back at her a LOT worse than she can "dish out".
Still, I am having it easier than at my previous job, so I don't plan to go anywhere. At least, not right now.
Had I been there for a few years, I could potentially have a good case if I wanted to pursue it, and if I felt the harassment had truly forced me out of my job, meaning that after escalating the situation through the correct channels, and little or nothing being done, and six months goes by and the harassment is still being ignored by HR, and all I could do for my own sanity was leave, then, yes, I would probably sue.
I don't think they've invented the "ice and Neosporin" emoticon.
It sounds like you had jealousy at your place also.
You are not the first person to say that. Interesting, but I never imagined that could be the case.
Sounds as if the lady has a lot of other issues and you are just getting the fall out.
As long as the woman feels safe all around, I'm sure you could make it work. It could be a quite place. It doesn't have to be noisy. It could even be dark and romantic.
Me too! Thanks! Crossing all fingers, toes, and eyes.
There's a guy at my company who thinks I've created a hostile work environment for him because I keep pointing out his technical mistakes before our employer invests millions in stupid or half-baked programs.
Okay. Then we've now reached a conclusion to the lawsuit matter.
Not anymore. I finished my on-line self appraisal today (we have no actual human beings anymore in our HR dept).
If you would like to hear (read) some of the most ridiculous feedback from an automated, multi-million dollar, software HR program that has replaced real human interaction between employer and employee.....
Drop me a line.
This has been an eventful week for me! My beloved Saab 9-3 was on the fritz, for the first time in the 4 years i have had it! Needed a new water pump, and while I was there, I had the oil changed and the brakes looked at.
Brakes needed some fluid. The water pump wasn't cheap. I don't know much about cars, but I understand water pumps crap out with some regularity.
Car problems! Sheesh! :-)
And we lived happily ever after.

Hey Max,
I've been trying to catch up, what happened? I know this is a very bad time, no matter that you didn't do anything wrong, it must be so traumatic!!
I understand walking out but it's still awful. I've done that twice... From what I know of you, you are extremely capable. I'm sorry to hear you are going through a bad time. All I can say is, been there, done that and they will lose. But it's still rough. Sorry but it will get better. I can't even imaging "being within the dress code". You weren't wearing your belly dancing stuff were you?
And car problems could be expensive. You car is not that old. I like to drive a car no more than 4 years.
Yep, e-mail has brought back the art of letter writing. Admittedly, some people use those abbreviations (or is it e-breviations?) to the point that I probably couldn't read their e-mail, but the overall trend is for people to learn to communicate by writing again.
