A potent winter storm is expected to bring a significant swath of wintry weather across the central and eastern US this weekend and into early next week. The National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center (WPC) said while confidence in the storm is increasing, there remains uncertainty in its timing and track as it moves east. At least 22 people were shot, three of them fatally, during the weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago. Breitbart News reported that two people were shot to death during a five hour window of violence in Chicago on Sunday morning. (A total of seven people were shot during the five hour time-frame, with two of them succumbing to their wounds.) By Sunday night, ABC 7 noted the total number of shooting victims for the weekend reached at least 22, with one additional shooting fatality.

Preparations are underway for a new migrant caravan to depart southern Mexico this weekend. While the caravan targets Mexico City, the ultimate goal of the migrants taking part is the U.S. border, where most are expected to ask for asylum or some other kind of protected status. Intelligence information provided to Breitbart Texas by high-level sources with Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM) revealed that the caravan is expected to start at 6 a.m. on Sunday on the banks of the Suchiate River in Chiapas. That river is Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala.

President Biden issued a demand for tougher firearm restrictions Tuesday after a string of deadly shootings unfolded across the country over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
