Ok, I picked out a sound bite that I wanted to use, clicked on the properties, copied and pasted, previewed. When I click on it in the preview box, it's linking back to the entire page, not the specific quote I wanted to post.

Instead of clicking on the properties, try right-clicking on the link to the file and then select "Copy shortcut", then paste that into the link you are posting.
