You sound like a very interesting person. Firefly was a great series. I'm actually glad I didn't watch it when it was on tv, because it would have really pissed me off that Fox didn't give such a great show a fighting chance. Having rented, then bought the DVD set of the series and watched the movie in the theater then gotten the DVD as soon as it came out, I have thoroughly enjoyed the series. Joss Whedon is a great story-teller. The most disappointing thing about the fact that he only had the one season is that we never got to learn the background story on Shepherd Book. He was a very deep character who obviously had much more to his character than they had the chance to develop.
If you are a Dean Koontz fan as well, the latest novel "Forever Odd" was every bit as good as its predecessor "Odd Thomas". I just finished it and it was a very enjoyable read.

I LOVE Dean Koontz. I've been eyeing Forever Odd, but was thinking of waiting for the paperback. Maybe I'll hit the library.

Oh my God, I am furious. I just got off the phone with the RNC. They were calling for more money. I told them no, and the were just as relentless as any other @%$^$%!! telemarketer, no matter how many examples I gave of Republicans lack of conservatism, or how many times I said no.
Arrrrgh!
Sorry, just had to share.

I'm a Dean Koontz fan, too. I got Twisted but haven't started yet. Now that the holidays are over I can get to reading again.

I've been eyeing Forever Odd, but was thinking of waiting for the paperback. I can never wait long enough for a new Koontz novel to get it in paperback. We have everything he has ever published in his own name, with probably his last twenty to twenty-five novels in hard-back. His older stuff we have in paperback.

Actually that was me. Since PaulaB will never loan me money, I was trying to get some out of you.
P.S. You didn't have to curse at me like that.

Poor woman had no idea what she was getting into when she called a news junkie like me.
Kept feeding me talking points, and I just came right back at her with facts and stats. She didn't stand a chance!

Thank you very much! :-) Firefly was indeed one of the best shows to air in years. I couldn't believe what they did to Book & Wash. It should have been Kaylee (she was so irritating in the movie). I haven't ever read anything by Dean Koontz, I'm afraid, maybe I'll check it out. Thanks. :-)

I dream of being able to do that, but when the opportunity arises, my brain goes numb.
Yeah, well, remember that guy, what's his name, and the scandal about... oh, you know. And they voted to spend all that money back in ... was it last year or the year before? Oh, crud.
