I don't consider hot dogs & sausage to be food fit for human consmption. Did you know the USDA has an allowable percentage of rat hair & feces in them? That's gross. Do you think this is different from other prepared foods? Do you think absolute zero is really an attainable standard?
It helps to understand meterology. If you can detect/measure microscopic portions of material that may even be carried on the wind, you need actual numbers for acceptance criteria.
If you found one speck of fly poop on your steak should the entire cow be discarded?

BBQ and Fishin' - hurrah!

You can wash it off a steak or chicken. That crunchy stuck in your teeth from a hot dog or sausage just might be a rat turd. I'm not a germ freak, I just don't like the taste.

I doubt I will get in any fishing, but may go clamming. I've got a 4:42 low tide on Monday. Fresh clams, mmmmmmmmmm.

So it's just that simple, can in the chicken and some spices? It appears that way. I though about trying different beers and slicing up a garlic and onion and putting in the beer, but other than that its just a beer up a chickens butt and sauce on the skin.
BTW, don't try to drink the beer later. Even after its cooled down its not worth a crap.

As hot dogs and I no longer get along, steak, chicken, and/or ribs.
Have you tried hot dogs from www.wellshirefarms.com yet? (They're available via the Web site, from Whole Foods Markets, and other places.)
I haven't tried their hot dogs yet, but I can attest that their bacon is wonderful! Ditto, their hams and other deli meats.
I can't eat meat with added nitrates and nitrites because of digestive disruptions we can't discuss in polite company. The years without bacon were awful! Now I'm somewhat less cranky again. ;)

Again, you seem not to understand the numbers and realities of measurement. The standard is far below anything you might encounter as "crunchy." Something large enough to be "crunchy" or noticeable at all in your mouth would be larger than the standard.
This type of ignorance is a shame.

Not exactly bbq...but at the
Wolf's Lair we're having grilled brats with saurkraut and spicey mustard. Chased with some ice cold Shiner bocks.

I was thinking about barbecuing some Johnsonville bratwursts, but how to do it on a Weber charcoal grill without burning it easily is going to be a lot of fun....

Not for sure, but I would guess hamburgers, hot dogs, potato/e? salad, chips, pop, ice cream, etc. The usual.

I really don't recall trying them from wellshire, but ultimately, I doubt I will. If my nieces/nephews come to visit I'll pick something up. But as it's only me, salmon (in case my Doctor is reading. and if he isn't: steak, chicken, or ribs.)

Lunch time is a long way off. You just made it feel longer.
I had forgotten the race was Sat Night. That's a good thing, because now I get to watch it from the comfort of Jeff's Bar & Grill (my cellar/deck/pool patio). If it had been Sunday, I would have missed it - third missed race this year.
The weather is supposed to be very clear, so I can watch the race and check out the fireworks out over Long Island, too.
