Work hasn't been too bad -- but last week a bunch of things came up that all had to be done at the same time.
How're you doing? When do you finish school?

Doing good, thanks. I'll be finishing next month and I will start teaching Italian during the summer. My trip didn't work, well, unless I go to Europe alone. My friend changed her mind due to her silly boyfriend's return after ONE year. Women!
To: Victoria Delsoul
Women! You said it -- not me! LOL!!
Sounds like you've got a good summer ahead of you. Maybe next year for Europe, eh?
(Or Canada. LOL.)

Hmmmm ..... I think a pig will eat almost anything but ..... spam?
We need to look for an expert to answer this question.

Howdy! :) It looks like we had some weather go through the D/FW area yesterday.
We escaped the bad stuff here at my place though, I think.

Storms sweep through N. Texas
System brings hail, isolated twisters, but no major damage
12:38 AM CDT on Tuesday, April 26, 2005
By GRETEL C. KOVACH / The Dallas Morning News
Yolanda Rathbun, 31, hid in her bathroom Monday evening with her two young children and dogs as hail pummeled her roof and tornadoes spiraled down into several North Texas counties.
Her 9-year-old son bent over in fear and pleaded to rescue his turtle, but Mom was not persuaded.
When the Rathbuns emerged, they found hail piled along the shrubbery. But their Cedar Hill home and vehicles were unscathed. The turtle also survived.
It looks like I dumped a couple of chests of ice around my yard. Its unbelievable, Mrs. Rathbun said.
Tornadoes may have landed in Cedar Hill and South Fort Worth as thunderstorms brewed along a dry line of weather pushed over North Texas by a cold front, forecasters said.

IRWIN THOMPSON / DMN
Monday's thunderstorms pounded a Cedar Hill neighborhood with hail. Forecasters said that tornadoes may have landed in Cedar Hill and South Fort Worth.

From Worms To Wars
The Lord said to [Gideon], "Peace be with you; do not fear." -Judges 6:23
|
It was 10-year-old Cleotis' first time fishing, and as he looked into the container of bait he seemed hesitant to get started. Finally he said to my husband, "Help me, I-S-O-W!" When my husband asked him what the problem was, Cleotis responded, "I-S-O-W! I'm Scared Of Worms!" His fear had made him unable to act.
Fear can paralyze grown men too. Gideon must've been afraid when the angel of the Lord came to him as he was threshing wheat in secret, hiding from his Midianite enemies (Judges 6:11). The angel told him he had been chosen by God to lead His people in battle (vv.12-14). Gideon's response? "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house" (v.15). After being assured of the Lord's presence, Gideon still seemed fearful and asked Him for signs that He would use him to save Israel as He promised (vv.36-40). And God responded to Gideon's requests. The Israelites were successful in battle and then enjoyed peace for 40 years. We all have fears of various kinds-from worms to wars. Gideon's story teaches us that we can be confident of this: If God asks us to do something, He'll give us the strength and power to do it. -Anne Cetas
When you're afraid of what's ahead, Remember, God is near; He'll give you strength and joy and hope And calm your inner fear. -Sper
To take the fear out of living, put your faith in the living God.

Mistakes Occur
A single musician makes the stroke,
Slight errors jar the sound.
But add a dozen instruments, and play,
And therell be cheer all round.
We are not quite so challenging,
When we are with our friends,
And even though mistakes occur,
Theyre gone when evening ends.
So it would seem that larger groups,
Bring out the best in all!
Except when we get mighty big,
Each one gets much more small.
There is a size for gatherings,
That you will know is best.
For when youve made a slight mistake,
Your neighbor will protest.
