HE HOLDS IT ALL TOGETHER
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"...but when was
the beginning? Since only the Creator is eternal, it is reasonable to view
'the beginning' as the start of time, a dimension like a window in the
middle of eternity. If the stars were not created until God spoke them into
existence on the fourth day, what is the meaning of 'heavens'? The original
Hebrew word actually means 'stretched out space'! In other words, God
created even the empty space in which to place the earth!
"For by Jesus all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or
authorities--all things have been created through Jesus and for Him. He is
before all things, and in Jesus all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17
Atoms, the building blocks of all physical things, are composed of 3
elements: space, matter and energy. Although the raw materials for planet
Earth were created, it was only formless matter; void of something
necessary for sustaining life. That missing 'something' needed to bring
matter together in forming Earth was the third aspect: energy.
God works everything in logical order and His sequence of creative acts is
no exception. Visible light is not only the narrow band of color we see
with our eyes. Light is just one of at least 75 octaves included in the
entire electromagnetic spectrum. As God spoke "Let there be light!", matter
was energized and the basic elements took shape, initiating the physical
laws that rule all forms of matter. Particles were now in motion and
operating in time! And all of it was - and is - held together by our Lord;
"For in Him we live and move and exist." (Acts 17:28)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through
Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men." John 1:1-4
A most comforting truth is that the sovereignty of God extends to the daily
details of our lives. He's concerned about us and His control extends over
all our days, working all things to our good!

Rest in the Lord and know that All Is Well. Do not allow worry or fear to
enter into your heart, but stand firm and know that if God said it, then it
will surely come to pass. (Ephesians 6:10-14) (Numbers 23:19-20)
LOLOLOL! Thank y'all for the precious poem and graphic!
The wording suggests that Moses had a speech impediment-perhaps he stuttered. But the Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord?" (v.11). Our impairments, our disabilities, our handicaps are not accidents; they are God-designed. He uses every one of our flaws for His own glory. God's way of dealing with what we call "limitations" is not to remove them but to endow them with strength and use them for good. In the New Testament, Paul the apostle referred to an unspecified "thorn in the flesh" that he repeatedly asked the Lord to take from him (2 Corinthians 12:7-8). But God said, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" (v.9). Paul even learned to "take pleasure" in his troubles. "Most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me," he said (v.9). "For when I am weak, then I am strong" (v.10). -David Roper
Through weakness learn to trust His Word; They're not immune to pain or tears, But learn to rise above their fears. -D. De Haan God's strength is best seen in our weakness.
Surviving The Storms Of Stress When Disappointment Deceives |
Osey, I love your clock!
Amy .. Yummy mushu (various spellings.. pronounced Moo- shoe) is my fav. I order in frequently in chinese reataurants.. Of course being a non-carnivor, mine is vegetarian.
When I make it at home I sliver the ingredients. It is all very stringy. I use:
carrots, bokchoy, almonds, onions, red, yellow & green pepper; bean sprouts, and sometimes squash. Lightly saute & add minced garlic & the hoison sauce (I use it to cook in & serve & dont fuss with the cornstarch bit)
I don't do mushrooms (have an allergy& never cared for them) weird vegetarian huh?.. doesn't do mushrooms or asparagus.
The pancakes are a rice type like totilla, soft/pliable/ thinnen/lighter in color
Might check in later.. busy, busy here. 4 day renewal (like revival) at church is super. but little has been done here work wise. My frre time over the weekend was on computer.. ugh. addiction.
ya'll do well.
MR M will be giving a report of the "volleyball game" in the next day or two...
"Happy Cuckoo Day!"
... not with that ugly head popping up every other second...

Just after this guy gets married, he was invited out for a night with "the boys." He accepts and then tells his new bride not to worry, because he'd "be home by midnight...promise!"
Well, the darts were landing just right and the grog was going down easy, and at around 3 a.m. drunk as can be the guy finally stumbles home. Just as he gets in the door, the cuckoo clock started, and cuckooed three times. Quickly he realized she'd probably been woken up by the clock, so he cuckooed another nine times to make her think it was midnight. He was really proud of himself, having the quick wits, even when smashed, to escape a possible conflict.
Next morning the missus asked him what time he got in and he tells her, "12 o'clock, dear!" Whew! Got away with that one! "Hmmm, I think we need a new cuckoo clock," she says over her morning coffee. "Why is that?" the husband asks.
"Well, it cuckooed three times, said 'shoot,' cuckooed another four times, farted, cuckooed another three times, cleared its throat; cuckooed two more times, and then giggled."
Regis: "Hello Carol, it's Regis Philbin from Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I have your friend Pam here who needs your help to answer the one million dollar question. The next voice you hear will be Pam's..."
Pam: "Carol, which of the following birds does not build it's own nest? Is it:
a) Robin b) Sparrow c) Cuckoo d) Thrush
Carol: "Oh geez, Pam. That's simple...it's a Cuckoo."
Pam: "Are you sure?"
Carol: "I'm sure."
Regis: "Pam, you heard Carol. Do you keep the $500,000 or play for the million?"
Pam: "I want to play; I'll go with c) Cuckoo".
Regis:"Is that your final answer?"
Pam: "Yes."
Regis: "Are you confident?"
Pam: "Yes; I think Carol's pretty smart."
Regis: "You said c) Cuckoo...and you're right! Congratulations, you have just won ONE MILLION DOLLARS!"
To celebrate, Pam flies Carol to New York. That night they go out on the town. As they're sipping champagne, Pam looks at Carol and asks her,"Tell me, how did you know that it was the Cuckoo that does not build its own nest?"
"That was easy Pam. Everybody knows that a Cuckoo lives in a clock."
Oesy- now that's what I call giving someone the bird.
Beautiful, Dubya. Thank you.
