Spiral

A simple spiral staircase,
You turn as you ascend.
In climbing toward our Heaven’s Door,
We cannot see the end.

How much of turning need we do,
To turn from wrong to right?
It may be that we’ll never see,
Our destiny in sight.

Steady we climb, and patiently,
With faith that guides our tread,
A hand is in our hand to climb,
No need to turn our head.

More strength flows to us as we see,
The dirt gone from our feet,
The Glory of that final step,
That makes our lives complete.

Happy Wednesday, Marguerite.

"Pesach" is "Passover" in Hebrew.
Pesach is the festival of the unleavened bread that commemorates the exodus of the Jewish nation from slavery in Egypt by the direct hand of God.

The dinner that begins the festival week is called a "Seder" at which several ceremonial foods are put upon the Seder plate, which this drawing depicts: Maror, Karpas, Charoses, Zeroah, and Baytzah, and Chazeres.

Happy Pesach, Marguerite!

Burnham Lima Beans: You can eat them for dinner and still be respected in the morning.

(Warning Label: Avoid open flames as they may be hazardous to your health and safety.)

HAPPY LIMA BEAN (BUTTER BEAN DAY)

They are large, flat beans, cream in colour. Boiled on their own they are dull; but they make a good thick soup, and are useful if haricot beans are unavailable as they go well with vinaigrette dressing with lots of chopped shallots and parsley.

Guess what I just found in the cupboard a tin of butter beans

I must be quite boring because when younger I quite like tinned butter beans heated up and served without any dressing maybe just a little butter or margarine on them with my meal.

I'm with you, Snugs.

I still enjoy lima beans with butter and pepper as a vegetable with dinner. They may be boring but I love them. ;)

Hope you are respecting the Lima Bean today by opening a tin for dinner.
