AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1549) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
All of Us | April 18, 2005 | Various News Sources and FReepers

Posted on 04/17/2005 8:00:39 PM PDT by Molly Pitcher

A New Week....Well, almost....

Will the Wall Street jitters continue??

Will, FINALLY, steps be taken to end the judicial log jam in the Senate??

Will the Dems, under Dr. Dean, begin to control their wacko elements??

Just a few questions to ponder....

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Well, I am glad that I'm not the only one who can't figure out Italian politics!

My youngest sister spent a year in Milan working for a doctor and his wife as a governess, so their children wouldn't lose the English they had learned while the doctor was studying here in the USA. (Yes, someone actually did become a governess! LOL! This is my sister the nurse who did this..she has always been the traveler.)

Anyway, the children went to the best kindergarten in Milan, which was run by the Communist party. This was back during the Bicentennial for the US. Anyway, the kids werre told to make a musical instrument for a rhythm band. SO, my sister helped them make two drums, decorated in red, white and blue with gold stars and eagles! LOL!

How can you figure out a country where the doctors send their kids to a Communist kindergarten and the Communist kindergarten caters to the elites?

I'm dating myself here..but I remember when my grandparents changed from a big huge coal furnace to natural gas. My grandfather, bless him, was a frugal man. Rather than be charged to remove Big Bertha he kept her. I think my aunt still lives with Bertha. :-)

I was at the car repair shop most of the day. I watched the black smoke. When FNC scrolled that Berlusconi was going to resign to strengthen his struggling conservative coalition I literally said...huh? Thank goodness I was alone.

Black smoke is much easier to understand.

I am getting a modicum of satisfaction from the fact that Chris Wallace has to sit on a balcony with two priests and stare at a stovepipe. HA!

No, I missed that. Is it cold in Rome?

Right now it is 83 here. I planted a few perennial transplants but then went to weeding because it is really too hot for much planting.

I am taking a break. Looks like the furnace guys will get done...the AC is in place and wired.

Let's put it this way...no one but Chris was wearing gloves.

Rome temps...Tuesday Sunrise 6:25 (CET ) Sunset 19:53 (CET ) 18°C - 8°C

18 degrees C = 64.4 F

8 C= 46.4F

Methinks Chris has poor circulation...LOL

Run the code

I distorted proportions wider - spaced 1 pixel to the right

That Eagle_.gif you found works well on BGs

Added 2 .midis and 1 Elvis America.wav

Easy to do with any US flags as table BGs

Whipple.org must be getting loads of hits as FReepers and Lurkers discover many of their family surnames there

Probably the (very) best genwebsite on the internet

By the way, can you figure out how Martha Stewart can do her program on radio? I mean, a lot of what she does is visual.

I get great satisfaction from serving the guys breakfast. I get to help start their day off right. But.... It certainly isn't very technically challanging to cook breakfast for only ~140 folks. I miss cooking dinner. The up side is that I only have to wait a week, and I'll be back on that shift. 8>)
