I wonder if you, me, NnB, Billie and MamaBear would buy enough to make it a best seller. :)

Now I just need to find someone to help me celebrate Cuddle Up Day...As cute as you are Tulip, I'm surprised you don't have a line a mile long of FReepers willing to take you up on that!
I'm gonna cuddle up with Pepper the worthless dog, or maybe Killian if I can drag him out from under the chair, or Sasso. Or maybe all three!

I wasn't at work yesterday, office closed due to the ice storm. I was glad, I hate driving on ice. We still have electricity at our house, some weren't so fortunate in our area. I did not think the ice storm would be as bad as it was in 2002, the trees still have not recovered from that storm so most of the branches that might have come down already had.
Today is a great day to cuddle here...the temp this morning was 10, that's all just 10. The wind chill was -9 (that's what the temp feels like in the wind.) It's supposed to get up to 55 on Sunday.
Where's your kitty when you need him?...

Aren't those two cute? And cuddlesome?
Good morning, PAL.
When the temp is at 10 degrees, how do you get anywhere? I'm sure that traffic would not be moving here.
Hope you have been having a great week.

It's really cold today here too - in the teens. It's supposed to be in the 40s at least this weekend. That's good, since I'll be heading south early next week. The exact day will all depend on the weather.

As long as the car starts you can go anywhere the ice will allow you to go. My current car is an '02 Saturn (front-wheel drive) and has started fine. I went out yesterday (the temp was much warmer - in the 20's) and chipped and thawed the ice from the windows. The drivers side door was frozen, but there was less ice on the passenger door so I was able to get in that side. I wish I had filled my tank the night before (you never know how long you may have to idle your car). My gas tank door was frozen shut, water had gotten inside the door so I couldn't just chip the ice. My brother (who lives nearby) had some de-icer that was safe to use on paint. The stores were sold out of it.
We got rain Tuesday nite which froze over nite, then sleet on top of that on Wednesday, and finally a light dusting of snow last night. There wasn't much traffic this morning, so driving wasn't bad. Most streets and highways have been salted and some were also plowed. You just have to slow it down and allow more time and space to stop. Dress warm (I do), keep a blanket in your car, a working flashlight, and a full tank in case you are stranded. Same for the house, keep a working flashlight, candles and matches, and non-perishable foods, etc.
According to yahoo, it's 16 degress out now. The sun is shining and reflecting off of all that ice. Pretty...
