The Light
It stands there on the rocky shore,
Glows like a guiding star.
It warns me of the hazards there,
Stay back the rocks arent far.
I steer my course to keep me safe,
Protect my sturdy ship.
For with its help I will arrive,
Completing my long trip.
The lighthouse is a beacon strong,
Its warning we must heed.
The keeper watches over it,
He caters to its need.
He lights the light and cleans the glass,
To keep the beacon strong.
Without his work, without the light,
My journey would go wrong.
We all are like the keeper see,
The Bible is the light.
So share the word with all you meet,
And keep the beacon bright.

Bless America Again
Once again our Nation has sent sons off to war
All these sad and perilous times are soon to be no more
These were all prophesied in the Good old Testaments
It will come to pass for sure every word and incident
These wars will come upon us in Matthew it reads
Sorrows are all around us Please sinners take heed
Time is winding down soon to be gone you see
If the righteous scarcely be saved where will the sinners be?
Mighty planes armed with missiles rise into the sky
To bring down the enemies the soldiers are in flight
They have the powerful weapons and if for God we stand
Well still live in freedom thanks to the soldiers hands
Lets pray for our leaders that wisdom they be shown
Pray for our troops to safely make it home
Pray for the families their loved ones gone to fight
Keep a vigil for them each day and every night
When missiles fire our hearts torn, what will it come to be?
Another mission completed the planes you now can see
These things must come to pass but the end is not yet here
Just beginnings of great sorrows and shedding bitter tears
Bless this Nation, Bless it Lord I cry on bended knees
May the war soon be over and we claim the victory
What a price some have to pay for freedom we hold dear
Some gives all and all gives some so we can live without fear
So as the battle rages on and the shots ring out
Will wake up the world I pray to what Salvation is about
Let them see how quickly life can be swept away
And that you must be ready for the final judgment day
When the war is finally oer and no battles can be seen
May we shout victorious and let freedom ring
Well never fail to Praise you, You are our dearest friend
And Lord I ask you one more time Bless America again

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him,
and not only will he not scold you,
but he will make a fool of himself, too.

Birthday Wishes to a Friend
To have a friend as sweet as you
Means more than words can say,
That's why I send warm wishes
On this your special day.
May your birthday be just perfect
When all your dreams come true,
Leaving happy memories
To last the whole year through.

"Enough!"
Read: James 1:9-11; 5:1-6
The rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. James 1:11
Bible In One Year: Genesis 12-15
After Bob Ritchie graduated from college, he spent the next two decades in the grasp of a love for money and advancement. He uprooted his wife and family five times for his career, so that he could make more money. Each time they left warm church communities behind.
After a while, Bob and his family seldom had time for church. As God's people became strangers, so did the Lord. He became desperately lonely and isolated. Growing discontented with his life, he finally said, "Enough!"
Bob now testifies that God taught him the meaning of the word downsize. He stopped pursuing money, spent less time at work, cut back on his purchases, and learned to be content with what he had. The family again became faithful to the Lord and active in a church.
In his brief and practical epistle, James warned us not to be obsessed with amassing wealth (1:9-11; 5:1-6). Whether we're rich or poor, the desire for money can subtly take over our lives. Some believers have fallen into its clutches without being aware of it and are fading away in their pursuits (1:11).
Do you need to follow Bob's example? It may be time to say, "Enough!" Dave Egner
If money is your highest goal,
The thing you long to gain,
Its power will enslave your soul
And cause your life much pain. D. De Haan
He is truly rich who is satisfied with Jesus.

Mornin', everybody ! Happy Wednesday!

Wow, look at that. 45 degrees right now. When I first got up around 4, it was 66 or 68 degrees.
We'll see the low 30's before sundown, and 27 before tomorrow morning, so the weather guy says.

Have a cup while you Freep ! |
