If I remember correctly, there was a football player that ran the wrong way. I guess that the reference was made to "Wrong Way" Corrigan.
I was unaware that the expression was not coined for the football player.

Right now I'm sunbathingI sat outside this afternoon in a tank top while working on a project...hoping to get some color on my arms and shoulders. I'm still pale - but I didn't burn. :)
