 Stars Fell on Alabama
Lyrics by Mitchell Parish ~~~ Music by Frank Perkins ~~1934

 We lived our little drama
We kissed in a field of white
 And stars fell on Alabama
 Last night

 I can't forget the glamour
Your eyes held a tender light
 While stars fell on Alabama
 Last night

I never planned in my imagination
 A situation - so heavenly
A fairy land where no one else could enter
And in the center - just you and me

My heart beat like a hammer
(My) Arms wound around you tight
 And stars fell on Alabama
 Last night

 A Thousand Stars
Artists: Kathy Young with the Innocents
(peak Billboard Position #3 in 1960)
Words and Music by Eugene Pearson

A thousand stars in the sky like the stars in your eyes
They say to me that therell never be
No other love like you-oo for me-e-e

A thousand stars in the sky make me realize
You are the one love that Ill adore
 Tell me you love me
Tell me youre mine once more (once more, once mo-o-ore)

Each night I count the stars in the sky
Hoping that you arent telling me lies
Youre with me tonight, Im captured by your charms
Oh, pretty baby, wont you hold me in your arms?

A thousand stars in the sky make me realize
You are the one love that Ill adore
 Tell me you love me
Tell me youre mine once more (once more, once mo-o-ore)

Each night I count the stars in the sky
Hoping that you arent telling me lies
Youre with me tonight, Im captured by your charms
Oh, pretty baby, wont you hold me in your arms?

A thousand stars in the sky make me realize
You are the one love that Ill adore
 Tell me you love me
Tell me youre mine once mo-o-re (I-I-Im yours)

I've heard the expression, "Wrong Way" Corrigan, most of my life; but I never knew the rest of the story. That was my case too, and why I found the sketch interesting. We've got a lot of streets around here named for "Wrong Way" but I had always had the impression he had been a football receiver who caught the ball and ran the wrong way across his opponent's goal line. LOL!

Morning. Nice graphic but the poem is about a distant lover. Still sweet though.

The Adam Legacy
 Read: Romans 5:12-21
By one Mans obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19
Bible In One Year: Psalms 18-19; Acts 20:17-38

Our new grandson Jackson had fine features, soft blemish-free skin, and ten tiny fingers and toes on two little hands and feet. How could any proud Grampa not see him as aperfectbaby? He certainly was a miracle of divine formation (Psalm 139:13-14).
The apostle Paul gave us a broader view of suchperfectlittle infants when he wrote,Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin . . . . Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam(Romans 5:12-14). In other words, every child is born with a tendency to sin. But thats not Pauls final word. He also wrote about Jesus, thelast Adam, who became alife-giving spirit(1 Corinthians 15:45).
Long after mans first sin, a baby was born who was God incarnate (John 1:14). God made Christ, who knew no sin to be sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21). When we trust Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit creates within us a new desire to do what is pleasing to God. The flesh still has its pull, but the pull of the Spirit is stronger.

In thefirst Adamwere all sinners. But lets concentrate on who we are in thelast Adam.Dennis De Haan
One with Adam are we all,
One with Adam in his fall;
But another Adam came
Fallen sinners to reclaim. D. De Haan
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Yes ... it is about a distant love but I thought the words, not the sentiment, worked well with the graphic.

If you or NicknamedBob would like to write a poem for the graphic, I will reuse it in the near future.

Question for the cat lovers out there. I think I got adopted last night by my neighbor's cat (Yeah, Tulip, the LND's cat). Is it okay to feed the cat tuna fish? I don't keep any cat food here, but I have tuna. :D

Is it okay to feed the cat tuna fish?
Yep. My cat loves it. It shouldn't be the cat's only diet though. It doesn't have enough of the overall nutrients that a cat needs. Also (this is what I heard...so don't quote me on it) I've heard that there are small levels of mercury in some types of tuna, so I don't let Ritz have too much of it.

No, Amy, they're no fun to shoot at when they're tame.

Morning Amy! I hope you are having a good Saturday. I've managed to get more cleaning done. Plus, I'm kind of packing while I'm at it so that moving won't be so bad when the time comes. LOL
