Hi Amy,
These quotes sounded mighty familiar. Not only my dad, but my mom told me that as well. But I was a good child so there was no need for repetition, LOL. Speaking of "hey" how about some music?

Doing OK, thanks. In and out getting things done and enjoying the weather, finally a decent day.
I come and go, and post and lurk in between.

Yep, same here.
It was warm and muggy here this morning, but it really cleared out in the last couple of hours. It's supposed to be in the 40s tonight. I wish we could have that all summer -- sort of like Calgary!
Gotta clean my bathroom -- I'll be back in a bit.

I am a father to two teen-age girls, and actually, I have not used even a small number of these.
However, I did ask,
... "What part of NO don't you understand? Is it the N-n-n part, or the OH!!?"

Thanks for the card Louie. You have a gift and it's sweet that you bless others with it.
I've been sitting at the table scrapbooking today and I finished our trip to St. Louis. Have you been to the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial exhibit yet? We spent 4 hours in there. It was exciting seeing Clark's very own journals and compass.

God is so good because this is something we've wanted for 7 years but couldn't afford it. Insurance paid for it all. Yippee! I can take the pain, right?
What are you doing this Saturday night?
To: SpookBrat
hehe ! Never been to Florida. Hope to make it there one of these days! Thanks. :^D Got to Dad's before 10:30 and we left shortly after I got there. My aunt fixed some fried Crappie my uncle had caught at Lake Palestine, some baked potatoes and hush puppies, green salad, onions and we had some fresh Better Boy tomatoes my Dad grew in his garden this year, and iced tea. Top that off with a fresh blackberry cobler. Yum ! I asked my aunt if she had a wheel barrow I could use to tote my tummy with after that ! haha ! :^D
We played a couple of games of Chickenfoot after that. (If you're not familiar with that, it a dominoe game played with a set of double 9 dominoes).
Went back to Dad's and I changed a bandage on his back where he'd had a cyst removed last Thursday. I also reset his clock on his answering machine and then headed back home. I just got home about half an hour ago.
It was a very laid-back pleasant Juneteenth.

Is it Juneteenth?
Fried Crappie? Sounds interesting. You're dinner makes me hungry for tomatoes. I miss having a garden. Glad your dad is better.
We play chickenfoot all the time except we call it Mexican Dominoes. We're all ruthless at that game. My own MIL will crush and destroy her small grandchild just to win. We always have a good time playing that game, except when Grandma makes Jonah cry. Grrrrr...
To: Victoria Delsoul
Thanks ! :^) Hope your weekend is going swell as well. :^D

Oh, yeah. Today is Juneteenth (June 19th). :^D I used to play Mexican Dominoes as well. Very similar. I remember when I was introduced to Chickenfoot by my parents. Mom loved that game.
Usually when a group of Meek's get together, a game of 42 breaks out. This must be a first. Of course, had we stayed longer and/or had it been a bigger group of us, I'm sure it woulda happened.
