Did you have a virus or did your pc just bite the dust? I've had some problems but I'm not sure whether the problems are mine, FR's or the Internet. I run the virus checker and everything comes up clean.

I run a program called Adaware periodically, to quarantine and delete any changes to my registry files. Something must have happened the last time I ran it, because it apparantly deleted a file that is needed for Windows to start up. I ended up running a partial re-installation of Windows that restored my computer's settings to what they were last week.

“The grass is always greener on the wrong side of the fence.”
We’ve heard this little phrase until we thought that it made sense,
When every time we checked it out we found it was untrue.
Please grab a bite of something, I’ll explain this thing to you.

If you happen to look down you’ll notice dirt is at your feet,
But you hardly can see any in that place across the street.
Keep your eyes on the horizon, and give what’s near a pass,
And everyone around will say “There goes a horse ... for grass.” *

The way to make a better world begins with where you stand.
Some of the early settlers once ignored the needs of land.
All soil is like a garden, you can give and you can get,
But something out for nothing in just hasn’t worked out yet.

When horses were our lawnmowers, the grass was always green,
We had a way to mow grass with a “fertilize machine.”
But now we chop it, and we bag it, and just throw it away,
And then buy fertilizer to spread out another day.

But when it’s not the weekend, we hitch up the faithful steed,
And roll onto the highway where we often make such speed,
That people on bicycles often pass us where we sit,
And watch the gas gauge flash a sign to say stop at the pit.

The car that we depend on needs a better source of fuel,
And I have the perfect answer and it isn’t even cruel.
We need to breed an animal to make some kind of gas,
And all we’d have to do for it is feed it all that grass.

My Saturday is just getting started; in fact, I may wait for another hour to get it started.

This has been one of those mornings when I woke up early to post the thread since I felt lazy last night. ; )

How did you spend your Saturday?

I spent my Saturday with my mother, which was nice. Despite the fuel involved in getting out here, I feel my weekly visits are worth it, as my flatmate and his lazier-than-all-get-out houseguest are driving me insane during the week!

Right now I might go watch some TV before heading to bed.

Bashers

The bashers really make me laugh,
They pick their whining point.
They shout and cry and jump about,
Their nose gets out of joint.
Immigration seems to be,
The one they like the best.
They offer no real counter plan,
Just buzz around like pests.
They say they’ll vote for someone else,
Well heck that is their right.
Some say, that they, will just not vote,
That really isn’t bright.
If democrats should win this thing,
Because we get distracted.
We’ve shot our nation in the foot,
The pain will be protracted.
To anyone that’s on the right,
My free advice will be.
Vote for Bush in Oh Oh Four,
He’s still the one, you’ll see.
