I gotta tell ya ... sitting on the stoop chit-chatting with the neighbors and having a smoke with my heavily-laced schooner of coffee made for a nice start to Christmas Day.

(After talking with the folks, of course.)

I'd given it up the past three weeks so I could sing Midnight Mass. May try keeping it to a minimum (did make a difference) but not ready to give it up yet.

Trust you and yours had a splendid holiday. I had a little Christmas Miracle of a day myself. =)

Way to fast of a Christmas.
The wife had to work today so we went to my Mom's on Christmas Eve and came back late Christmas day.

At least the wife got to play some games of Rook. That was what really mattered.

Lucky you. Our 5 year old jumped on hubby's chest at 4:30 "Daddy, Daddy, Santa's been heree and he brought me a piano! and a barbie and barbie clothes"

by this point he was groggily figuring out what happened. I guess we didn't stress it enough that she had to wait for us. She woke up and checked the tree and proceeded to open every package tagged for her. Before she woke us up.

Yes, but yesterday it was 44 degrees, and so foggy all day long I couldn't see across the street. The snow is melting, and it's balmy today again. Really strange weather pattern.
