The conservative Presbyterian Church in America voted Thursday to disqualify all gay men from serving in its ministry.
The 1,400-400 vote to change its governing document came at the denomination’s 48th General Assembly, held this week in St. Louis.
The rule change, known as “Overture 23,” will go to local church bodies known as “presbyteries” for a vote before a second round of convention balloting next year that would place the language in the denomination’s “Book of Church Order,” which governs PCA practice....

I wish the word “gay” was never used in the context of these articles. They are “homosexual,” not “gay.”

really sad that they even had to vote on it. so pathetic that so many of these religions don’t even know the Word of God.
Earlier than the 1970s, this would not have even been news.

And magically the pedophile problem that plagues other churches with gay priests is solved.
They will keep on voting until they win and then its “settled” and no one can ever bring it up again.

How do they prove that they’re gay?
Not to be confused with the PCUSA which at the national level is very liberal. In my Presbytery (county level type thing) they voted a few years ago to get rid of “drawing lots” to select people for the national convention as a representative and voter.
The idea of drawing lots did seem a bit old fashioned. (In Biblical times it was used often, with the idea that God controlled it.)
As soon as the means of being chosen was changed to a popular vote, there was an amendment made that of the people to go, at least 50% of them had to be women. And that at least one homosexual or transgender needed to go too. (So not really a vote at all!)
God knew what He was doing when He called for drawing lots! (BTW - the woman head of the Presbytery just used the term “Her” when talking about the Holy Spirit!)
What do they do with the existing queer ministers.
In the discussion of these doctrinal issues cut to the chase. These people are pro-sodomy. Don’t mince words about it. When discussing this issue translate their speech of “gay” in to what the Bible actually calls it. Use Biblical terms when discussing doctrine. i.e. Are you for the Sodomification of the church body? Do you support Sodomy as a natural and loving act or as an abomination to the Lord?
Yup—if 400 folks voted “yes” the church is doomed.
Some of the ministers are probably already molesting kids.
