Governor LePage "I also have two daughters born in Canada, and they had to be naturalized, they couldn't be natural."
Howie Carr: "Really? You don't think your daughters could run for President?"
Governor LePage: "They can't. I know they can't. I've already looked into it."

Exactly.
Look folks - it doesn’t matter what Vattel said - the standard for NB citizenship in America is jus soli. Always has been, and hopefully always will be.
A “process” is not necessary, dependence on statute is.
The Oilers are playing in Philly tonight. I might be able to see him sing O Canada if I get a ticket?
It's an obfuscation born of political necessity.
We do understand NBC and follow the existing laws and from that, we understand that a person is either, by the conditions of their birth, born a citizen OR has been naturalized which, by law, ONLY occurs after one is born.
Sen Cruz was born a US Citizen and has NEVER need to be naturalized. Thus, he is naturally born a US Citizen.
You are in error.
You can't create a natural born Citizen by any law made by man. Natural Law is what defines a natural born Citizen.
Note the reference to Natural Law in the first sentence of our Declaration of Independence.
It is crystal clear that the Founding Fathers used the Natural Law definition of 'natural born Citizen' when they wrote Article II. By invoking "The Laws of Nature and Nature's God" the 56 signers of the Declaration incorporated a legal standard of freedom into the forms of government that would follow.
President John Quincy Adams, writing in 1839, looked back at the founding period and recognized the true meaning of the Declaration's reliance on the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." He observed that the American people's "charter was the Declaration of Independence. Their rights, the natural rights of mankind. Their government, such as should be instituted by the people, under the solemn mutual pledges of perpetual union, founded on the self-evident truth's proclaimed in the Declaration."

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term natural born citizen to any other category than those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof.

Paperwork does not determine a person’s citizenship at birth. Canadian laws do not determine a person’s US citizenship and are irrelevant to the discussion.
What we know as fact:
1) Sen Cruz’s mother was a US Citizen at the time of his birth
2) Sen Cruz was born a US Citizen via USC Title 8 Section 1401 subsection G
Thus he was naturally born a US citizen. That is the current law.
Why are you getting jacked-up about something decided in courts? Why do you care so much about his citizenship? How are you soooo certain he’s NOT a citizen?
And what is this ‘we’ talk? I have no doubt he’s legally eligible to run for prez.
You are correct. Paperwork does not determine one’s citizenship at birth. USC Title 8 Section 1401 does.
The supreme law of the land is NOT Natural Law. The supreme law of the land is the US Constitution. If you do not agree with that point, then there is where our opinions differ.
We're not even sure of that. We've never seen the actual piece of paper that attests that Cruz is a US citizen. The date and status could be disqualifying. If not, why isn't Cruz releasing them?
“We are talking about natural born citizenship. Cruzoids simply CANNOT understand the difference”
Did he have to be ‘naturalized’ to get citizenship? That is a very specific process that emigrants have to do. Did he? No he didn’t. He got citizenship without it based on having parents who were citizens. If you don’t have to be ‘naturalized’ then you are already natural born.

Not jacked up about citizenship, jacked up about the Constitution. Focus.
Naturalized at birth is a statute-created privilege. Natural born citizenship does not require any act of Congress.
Exactly.
Don’t confuse a Trump supporter with the facts. Regardless of what they think about Ted, he’s a pretty bright guy and I would be pretty sure that he sorted out this “eligibility” issue long ago before entering the race. Who in the hell would run for President if they weren’t eligible and subject themselves to the “political colonoscopy” of running for President?
