Paperwork does not determine a person’s citizenship at birth. Canadian laws do not determine a person’s US citizenship and are irrelevant to the discussion.
What we know as fact:
1) Sen Cruz’s mother was a US Citizen at the time of his birth
2) Sen Cruz was born a US Citizen via USC Title 8 Section 1401 subsection G
Thus he was naturally born a US citizen. That is the current law.
Don’t confuse a Trump supporter with the facts. Regardless of what they think about Ted, he’s a pretty bright guy and I would be pretty sure that he sorted out this “eligibility” issue long ago before entering the race. Who in the hell would run for President if they weren’t eligible and subject themselves to the “political colonoscopy” of running for President?
