Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Because the ‘original’ posted by fightthesmears site had the resolution cut in order to post it on that site. That’s part of what caused all the confusion in the first place.
The source of the fightthesmears, KOS, and factcheck.org images is the same: It’s from the Obama campaign.
It’s further interesting that KOS cropped their image, and factcheck.org left it alone. Factcheck.org was helpful enough to provide the person on the Obama campaign who gave it to them.

Once again, you are proposing a theoretically possible scenario, but have no evidence at all that it actually happened.
In his first book, Barack mentioned seeing his birth certificate in with old documents, when he was a youth. If his family had that, they would never have gone the DS-10A route. And surely his birth certificate said Honolulu, or his firstbook would have been a *far more interesting* bio. I said earlier that there’s a 99.9% chance his passport has “Honolulu Hawaii” on the basis of a birth cert. that said the same. There is maybe a 0.1% chance your scenario is valid.

Are you familiar with the concept of layering where items can be imported into a JPEG and then all the layers combined to make a single layered image?
The KOS version is one such version as is fight the smears, both of which are missing the seal.
Factcheck unless they have a certified true laser printed original from the state of Hawaii has yet another version of what KOS first posted on their website.

I meant by my statement that there are no ‘gross errors’. Such claims are not correct. The ‘wrong phrase’ claim was busted/disputed by KJC1, who has a COLB with the same phrasing as Obama’s.

I have never disagreed with that. My disagreement is with those who claim to ‘know’ its a forgery or claim ‘proof’ of it. They’ve not proven anything thus far.

Um no. I noticed from the get-go that the COLB he released had her maiden name on it. Did you not notice? You cannot infer marital status from his COLB.

Yes it would be, since its still not the truth. We are talking about the validity of a COLB, not a marriage license. Nobody has admitted Obama’s COLB is not valid or that his place and date of birth is wrong.
The public report is a marriage in Maui on feb 2, 1961 and a divorce in 1964 in Hawaii. If anyone is disproving that public account, its a separate matter from his birth cert.
They CAN'T. They can prosecute for election fraud and falsification of official documents, and the judge may or may not decide to release the true documents.
But due to the right to privacy they can't release his documents without his permission or a court order.
