Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I am trying to talk my extremely conservative son to join FreeRepublic. He lurks here, particularly when I send him a link to a good thread, and he then passes these on to his group of conservative friends.
I told him that he might be questioned/suspected a troll because of the heat of the election season, and that if he was, to mention my screen name. Because of his hectic work schedule, and a brand new baby in the house, I do not think he has signed up just yet.
When he does, I will vouch for him.

Good luck getting your son to join! I wish my very conservative nephew would, but he’s a busy college student and works to earn money to help pay for his expenses, so no luck so far. Yet that is what you are doing to Barack Obama’s mother. You are saying she engaged in fraud.
In order for the “not born in Hawaii” theory to be true, Barack’s mother would have had to engage in acts of fraud so successful, his own son couldnt figure it out, and the authorities would have been fooled for decades by a phony birthplace claim. You have ZERO evidence to back up this irresponsible claim.
When did they say this? I have not seen that anywhere, and have watched and read interviews with his African relatives going back at least as far as 2004, and they all say his first visit to Africa was in the early 80s after his father's death. But I keep reading posts saying the family has attested to something else. Can you tell me where?

The 14th Amendment does not automatically confer natural born citizenship to those persons born outside the United States or it's jurisdiction regardless of their parentage, or in Obama's case the illegitimate child of a American Mother and a Kenyan Father, possibly born elsewhere but issued a Hawaiian Birth Certificate (which according to Hawaii's own website they will issue to those that ask for one).
Who is Eligible to Apply for an Amended Certificate of Birth?
As provided by law (HRS §§338-17.7, 338-20.5), the following persons may apply for an amended certificate of birth:
For a person born in the State of Hawaii who already has a birth certificate filed with the Department of Health and has become legally adopted
For a person born in the State of Hawaii who already has a birth certificate filed with the Department of Health and has undergone a sex change operation:

Simple question is a child born outside of the United States that has such an amended adopted birth certificate an American Citizen?
According to the 14th Amendment No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Or in other words the states do not have the right to grant or deny the rights of citizenship based upon their own (the states or in this case Hawaii) laws.
As we know Obama was Legally adopted in Indonesia By Lolo Soetoro, it is possible that he has an Indonesian adopted birth certificate that was replaced by a Hawaiian one which changed his name to Barack Obama by his Hawaiian grandparents since his mother stayed in Indonesia.
The real question is what is on his original birth certificate if he even has one and where was it originally issued?
The key point being made here is that Obama has had to officially certify his place of birth on multiple occasions prior to today. He did alot of travelling in his life and not as an infant, as a boy of 12, in college, later in life, etc. Not as much as I have, but he’s been to several countries.
He had to acquire a passport.
That passport has with 100% certainty “Honolulu, Hawaii” as Obama’s official listed place of birth. And it was listed that way because evidence was given to verify it.
Which leave us with either:
1. He was really born there in Hawaii.
2. A bizarre document fraud campaign took place. And even if he was on Mom’s passport (another zero-evidence-speculation-claim) when he was a child, it still required ID, picture, etc. like birth certificate.
So he was on his Mom’s passport as an infant, then smuggled in to the US, then a fake up birthplace concocted for later passports and the checkers somehow missed the discrepancy and were bamboozled with faking of hawaii birthplace ... even though the whole sorry episode would be avoidable by her not leaving the US suddenly in the summer of 1961 for no apparent reason other than to make sure her son was born in a place that would prevent him from becoming President. yeah right.
Sowell believes that his this is because they realized that it could have led to a discovery that he really didn't meet the Constitutional requirements for President.
All the more reason for Illinois' Junior Senator to *comply* with the law.

Black folk might have a problem though.
If you were born outside the country, your father was not a citizen and you were illegitimate, then the rules were different. That's all people are saying, although the poster you responded to perhaps did shortcut the whole explanation.
Seems that it wasn't all that common for our honored ancestors of the era of our founders to have "real marriages".

In those days marriages were not recorded, nor even "sanctioned" by the state, but rather by the Church. So you have to check church records, or in some cases family bibles. Births too were not recorded by the state, but often were in the family Bible.
