An unarmed man was fatally shot in a broad daylight ambush during a dispute over a parking spot at a North Lauderdale Walmart on Tuesday.
62-year-old Bart Diguglielmo was shot by a woman during an argument over a parking space.
The unidentified shooter is claiming self-defense. Diguglielmo was not armed.
Diguglielmo's family said he was a Christian man and a decorated veteran who served in Desert Storm in the Army National Guard.
The shooting was captured on a Tesla cam and cell phone camera.

A man who was shot by a woman during what authorities said was a dispute over a parking space at a North Lauderdale Walmart has died, officials said.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that 62-year-old Bart Diguglielmo of Lauderhill died from his injuries.
The incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday outside the store at 7900 W. McNab Road.
A witness captured the shooting on a cell phone video and cameras from a nearby Tesla showed the fatal incident unfold.
My wife was handicapped and I would have to drop her off at the door and then park the car in the back. Then I would go get it and bring it back to the from when we were done shopping.
I would check and most times only 1 car would have a placard or license plate for handicap.

She's already tried to retreat once. He walked away when he saw the gun, then turns around and walks back toward her. Exactly how close is she supposed to let him get? He was 6 feet away and moving in. A man against a woman.

Well, if a woman has a gun pointed directly at me, I’m definitely not going to approach her. Self-defense? Heck no. Was he the aggressor? Appears to be.
They are notorious (sounds like a black name) for parking in handicapped spots when clearly not handicapped, but maybe they are admitting they are retarded.
It’s true that a grown man approaching a woman aggressively could be construed as a threat. If she was indeed threatened, she should have aimed at his knees.

She shouldn’t have pulled a gun on him in the first place, unless he actually threatened her with bodily harm.
Story has made the Daily Mail now. The video at this link is slightly different viewpoints than the OP article video ? anyway you can see how slowly he moves and that he is not doing anything physically threatening at all, he doesn’t even have his hands up.

Per DM she walked up to his car and started arguing with him, and she had her gun in her hand at the time. Then he got out of his car argiung back. So again, SHE is the aggressor and she is not afraid to approach him/his car will both negate self defense.// He was a nurse for 30 years now retired.//She WAS arrested at the scene; in the last paragraph it says it is unclear if she will face charges. Um, probable cause = arrest and jail, so it would be more correct to say unclear what specific charges the DA will attach. We will see what bail a FL judge will set.
A rational person does not interpret someone calmly walking towards you unarmed as life threatening.
Legally she escalated the enccouter introducing deadly force. It is beyond dishonest to say someone walking up to you is somehow using deadly force.
By that standard I can pretty much shoot any passerby as long as I take a step back. You are not showing any rational thought.

I agree 100%. He was the aggressor; she retreated throughout the interaction; she gave him plenty of warning that she is armed and that he should back off; and perhaps most significantly, he appears to be well within the 7 yard radius that would allow LEO to use deadly force should he continue to move forward after being told to stop. She exited her car with a gun, if she was afraid she should have stayed in the car and called 911, or just leave. The women in my life would not try to confront a man over a parkig space.
One does not get to claim self defense when they escalated the ecounter, you are trying to ignore the totalloty of the encounter. How covienent you choose to ignore how she got to that stage.
Your fantasy that assumes he must be the aggressor is rejected on the facts in evidence.
Your false appeal to emotion and assertion of intent are not supported by the video and are rejected.
Why are you so bent on justifying black racial hatred and murder?
We don’t know what exactly was being said, or what led to this originally. Not enough data. Probably a manslaughter charge at most, but possibly no charges under “stand your ground” law. I have a feeling if both people were white in this instance then the reactions here might be different.
In general women do feel threatened when an angry man of any race is yelling at them and approaching them.
I am a perfectly abled driver that parks in those spots to transport my disabled son. You’re saying that only disabled “drivers” should park in them?
